We're finally getting some water. By the end of the day we'll likely have more rain in the past 5 days than we got in the prior five months.

By next week we might be flooding but that's how life goes on the Central US.

Very sad note, apparently two storm chasing vehicles collided near Spur, Texas, SE of Lubbock. A suburban ran a stop sign and hit a jeep. All three killed.

I still remember my ears popping from the pressure drop as it jumped over us.

My project site, however...yeah, different story. I can throw a rock and hit Galveston Bay. Some of my structures are at -7.50'. Fun times when working below sea level.

Jeez I can't get on the water this year at all. Every week it is perfect weather all week then storms predicted on the weekend. Should I just go to Bolivar anyways and hope it doesn't storm the whole time? Infuriating. Great if you're retired and can go on weekdays though because every Monday is perfect for damn sure.
