Wish that rain would shift west and hit the Panhandle. They sure as hell need it.

Praying for some nice slow rains across the affected areas of Texas and OK. Our place in Ellis County, OK was spared as the fires were contained about three miles away.

Same for Roger Mills? It was South of the fires, right?

NO. MORE. RAIN.

I want a good 2 or so months without any damned rain. Still saturated as hell down here, even 1/4" would eff tbings up again right now.

Sorry, Bro. We haven't had any in a week or so, the pasture is starting to wilt under unseasonably warm weather. I would prefer my winter rye live another month or so.

Agreed. Would love to get a shredder in the field without needing a boat to tow it.

Still plenty of standing water here. It can pass right over me and dump on you, we will both be happy.

Looks like the potential for heavy is staying up around DFW for this one and the models seem a bit sketchy yet on the subsequent storms.

No disrespect, but Brazoria is about an inch and half above sea level.
We kept a summer house South of Amsterdam for decades.
I'm moderately familiar with the area.

Nice steady rain overnight and this morning. Every plant in landscaping bloomed overnight with the first real moisture of the year.

Had some nice straight line winds and a tornado warning at 1:30a. Nothing like taking your 3 year old and 8 week old to the downstairs bathroom to wait it out. Kinda snuck up on us.

No damage here in Granbury, just some limbs and trashcans blown around. Been without power since it hit though. Hope the water stays hot so I can warm a bottle...

Grew up in Chicago
We had storms on occasion there but stuff like this with tornado warnings in the middle of the night keeps me up all night long. Not sure how anyone ever gets accustomed to this.
