Choke won't budge most likely. I'm not holding much hope that the Frio will get enough rain to flow.

I like to check the actual gauged rainfall at USGS stations to see if they correlate with the rainfall estimates from radar. Reports from sites in Navarro county (Corsicana is reporting 18 inches) show more than 15 inches. Most all the sites in the area show at least 8 inches for 48 hours.

A buddy's parents live right on the Leon River in Gatesville, about 100' away from the USGS gage. It always shows lower amounts than what his folks and everyone else in town gets.

We haven't had anything too crazy in Belton.

Another 1" this morning in the crossroads. NWS just put us under a flash flood warning though.

Another 2" in the gauge since I posted earlier. That makes 7" since 2a or so when it started raining.

Currently 16 out of 321 USGS stations in Texas show 48-hour rainfall totals in excess of 8 inches.

For instance, right now that gage shows 5.5". Buddy's parents right next to it got 9.5".

I've noticed the same in that the usgs stations show far less rain than reported so I reached out to the usgs office. Their response was that their stations were not to be relied on as they are not calibrated and maintained for accurate weather recording. Their purpose is to show a snap shot of stream flow data.

Or just use the radio.

Been raining solid, sometimes very heavy now since 4 or so.

Over 3" in South College Station and we're swamped, cannot even imagine the 15ish inches Corsicana and many others have received. First time my tank has been full in 6 months.

Yeah both sides of my dorm are flooded. The Quad likes to hold on to water.

I think the last game I listened to was the game in Lubbock when we crushed tceh and broke the losing streak in Lubbock. If I'm remembering correctly, the game wasn't televised.
