Needing it bad down here in the Coastal Bend. Another week without rain, especially with this cool front that just dropped the humidity and we'll start getting critically dry. We're not Central Texas dry yet, but our fuel load on the ground is scary high.

Ho-lee-crap. Got my wheat in two weeks ago, got a really nice soaking rain right after and a great stand. Now 4" more? Wow.

However, really, really, bad news for Panhandle/South Plains guys with the majority of the cotton still in the field.

So Bastrop 2.0 in other words? Cause from what I've heard that's exactly how it started. Burned up bearing on a mower.

Austin news said they didn't want to really say what the models were reporting, but he kind of leaked it. He said we could see up to 7 inches of rain in the next few days, based on a few of his models. It sounded like he didn't want to worry people, but a lot of rain was going to come.
