You Panhandle people need to quit being stingy, I had to fire up my sprinklers to see if they still work. We don't have any significant chances for a couple weeks.

god i hate St Augustine grass. all of the sudden the rain stopped in Houston and the grass is already instantly starts to brown.

We got two short lived, but pretty intense showers today. I think the gauge showed about 1.5". First rain at my place in over a month (pretty sure).

I knew when people were complaining about all the rain it was going to bite us in the butt.
Waco broke the record for the longest dry stretch, we're now on day 49 without a trace of rain breaking the record of 47 days set in 1917.
Farmers almanac has three different weeks calling for a hurricane threat to Texas in September. Lots of cotton farmers hoping for it to be all wiped out...
Wettest June on record in Austin followed by the driest July on record with predictions of massive El Nino rains this fall.

This might be an auto-updating image... Not sure. But that west -> west northwest -> back to west could put this thing on target to end up in the GOM or possibly just be held to the south and whack Central America. Time to cue up the folks with the long range predictions.
Chronicle's weather guy was saying this morning that not much should come of it due to the sheer in the Atlantic.
