A homeless man was swept away and killed by flood waters in Waco early yesterday morning. The nearest weather station to my house west of town recorded 1.4".

Tomball got a great lightning show and it was raining in sheets for a few hours. Woke up to some small flooded areas, but likely not 5+ inches.

So, is all the rain that fell yesterday/today in Brown, San Saba, and Coleman counties going to actually make it into Lake Buchanan? Will anything make it into Ivie?

Ivie will definitely catch a good amount. Poured in Ballinger right on the Ivie watershed and pretty much any rain that falls in San Angelo ends up in Ivie. Now, will it make a huge difference based on the size of that lake? Probably not. But at least it will be going up instead of down.

So frustrating. Oil is booming, no water for a boat. Oil busts and we may need a boat to survive.

Its a cruel world.
