Saw that... that's quite the flash flood and I hope no one is adversely affected! That will certainly put some water in lake Corpus Christi (Mathis). The downstream watershed looks to have taken a good pre-soaking at least.

Gages don't show much of anything in the Frio yet...

Tons of rain in north San Antonio right now, since 3 am at least, possibly longer. My street looks more like a river than a road. Flash flooding happening all around the city.

Flooding south of Garner and on to Pearsall, but not major. Nueces flooding south of Uvalde. Both watersheds got a soaking last night, so there should be no "stream bank soak-in". Choke and Lake CC will get some water.

Was a little sketchy exiting for 1604 on 281 southbound...sure made me wish I had a higher clearance vehicle

Yeah. Not taking back roads to work. There are a couple of sketchy low water crossings. I'm assuming that the frontage road is holding some water

5" in Tom Green County, just east of Wall. We kinda need some dry weather for this cotton Harvest, but won't ever complain about rain.

You know, I don't know what to think of that app. I chose about 6 'representative' fields around the county and traced them out. I have a gauge at half of them and the results are mixed.

This morning for example; FL says it rained 2.3 @ the HQ between 2-6 am and I poured out exactly 1" this morning. We had a shower last week and I poured out a couple tenths, so I know everything was kosher w/ the tube.

I know during servere Tstorms not all the wind driven rain gets in the gauge, but I can look around and tell 1" from 2.3" and we had 1". I guess sometimes Doppler measures thunder and lightning too - because we had several inches of that last night.

I know the field view app from Climate it takes 48 hours for the algorithm to fully run and from what I've seen it is fairly accurate. I'll get an email every morning at 3am saying so many of my fields received rain and the estimated totals with a possible range listed under it. You can go in and report rain gauge totals which help the guys further fine tune the program. No idea if that other app operates in a similar manner or not.

Far enough north to make Ivie?

Is that like Farm Logs or is it connected to a larger GIS platform? I have a lot of fertility and yield data in SST system but I don't actively manage it. I'm working on improving that so I downloaded their Summit app and I see it also tracks rainfall. I'll compare it to others when I get signed in.

Good one!

I've had 2.7 over nite just south of Boerne. Hopin it clears off for a golf tourney at 1!

I just herbicided part of my st. augistine because it was so thick I couldn't mow it.
4 more fuggin inches of it yesterday with that tropical front that blew in. I need to invest in a rice combine so i can go out and mow my yard.

You could just pay a crew for the rest of your life and save 90% of the cost and 100% of the headaches.
I wish....but nope.

It's been raining like a ******* all over the Concho Valley lately. So Ivie will definitely catch some water out of all this. Which is great.

I feel bad for my relatives though, they were going to have a hell of a cotton crop this year, I'm talking 3 bale dry land. But this wet weather is making the seed sprout inside the boll.

Seriously.... did anyone get cotton out of the field this year?

RGV. Most all the dryland got out without getting wet. There was some irrigated that got dinged a little but for the most part it was a charmed cotton harvest.

We are still going up here in Wharton Co. Ginning surprisingly well for the conditions. The yields are crap, basically take a bale off the top.
