Swam the west prong horseback during a flood to get to water gaps on the other side (it was coming down). Then swam it back. I was young and dumb back then and had a co-worker that was just as stupid. I often wonder how I survived many of those things I did.

Didn't get nearly that much South of town, maybe 3/4".
But did get a toad floater a week ago that apparently no on else got.
We had almost 2" in about 20 minutes from a pop up then poof it was gone.

Not really worried about it raining here... Probably should since I'll be in a man lift all day Saturday taking down two huge Hackberry's that are just a couple feet from my house, and less than 20 from my neighbors.

How close to Uvalde? We're up north near Concan. Not many snakes in our part.

Off Hwy 55 at my mother's place. If you hang a rattlesnake in a mesquite tree it will bring rain. 50% of the time it works every time.

Put out a few acres of rye seed this morning based on the QPF anticipated 1/2" of rain.
It's all in the ponds and creek now.
3" so far with another big red blob coming.
