Last time I sent mine in Costa charged me $100 for the lens replacement and shipping on my 580 glass lens. The problem with dealing with Costa is they don't tell you how much it's going to cost until after you send in the frames and then you have to pay for shipping if you say no thanks. Turnaround was fast, however, if you can get it done locally, do it

To get the lenses replaced by Costa it will cost you $99 plus I think $11.95 for the shipping and handling. I just got mine back from sending them in for a cracked 580G lens. I didn't know that Academy/Gander could actually replace Costa lenses

My costas are about 2 1/2 years old, the ear pieces and nose pieces have completely fallen apart. Sent them in for repair. Had to pay for shipping, up front assessment fee then have to pay to get the repaired. Figured it would be covered under warranty work, but part of it wasn't. By the time I pay return shipping and tax it will be about $100 for $180 glasses. Kind of annoyed about it.

Is there really another option than sending them in to Costa? Even if I pay the same I would love a quick turnaround.

I don't think so. My lenses are still in great shape, but the Taiwaneze frames were falling apart. One of the few complaints I have about costa

I can't help but think Costa's repair costs are covering their marketing/branding efforts. Seems like they've pushed their brand hard over the last couple of years, when we started seeing these costs for repairs.

You can buy a brand new pair of 580s off ebay, almost for the cost it would to have Costa repair their own product.
