Looking to go down to either the Frio or Guadalupe for a weekend this summer. Needs to sleep 3 people. It's a guys weekend with two friends from high school. My best friend from high school is going through a divorce right now and I am trying to get this trip together as a way to cheer him up and get his mind off of his beetch soon to be ex wife.

We would want to be able to do a little fishing and hang out on the river and drink beer.

Any suggestions? Any one willing to let us use your cabin?

On another odd note - what is the best palce to find property on either of those rivers? Id lover a couple acre spread on either. Heck, even a little 3/2 or 4/3 on a 1/2 would suffice.

I agree...Neal's is the place to stay and have a great time...

Rio Raft on the Guadalupe is a great place to stay. It's up near the horseshoe and you can float the whole horseshoe or just the last part. Your cabin is where you take out.

Downside is that they are very proud of their cabins...they're expensive.

We've always stayed at Yeargan's River Bend, but good luck finding a cabin this late. We reserve ours for the next year while we are there.

Canyon, I looked at vrbo for Concan and everything was very expensive. I am not familiar enough with the Frio to know where else to look. Haven't checked for the Guadalupe yet.
