I think the advanced tread design helps them..

Is "promo chick" a weekend job for hooters waitresses, or a day job for "dancers", an offseason job for cheerleaders, or all three?

Sean,

I've just turned 95k on a set of Michelin LTX A/T on my Z71. They are LT-sized, not P-sized. No complaints other than a bit more noise on the highway compared to the stock crappy Wrangler OEM tires. They are great in all weather, especially snow, and did fine in the little bit of off-road use I've done.

I'm going to replace them with LTX M/S before winter.

Where the heck were you yesterday!!

Just kidding. All I know is that E load tires in 265/70/17 are not inexpensive.

Sorry bud! I don't come over here all that often anymore but got sucked in by the pistol/ehump thread.

I'm dreading my upcoming tire purchase too since my truck has 163000 on it now, but I might as well keep her going.

Well, I went with the Hankook DynaPro AT/m's in 265/70R17. I did not get as good a deal as wadd96, but at least they're not Firestone.

(because I'm scared of Twix)

Been digging through old threads trying to decide which tires I'm going to put on my Silverado... How are those Hankooks working out?

I have hankooks on my wife's little rice burner and I really like the ride/grip/price.

I have Goodyear Silent Armors on my truck.

I like them. They don't ride as smooth as my BFGs did, but they're definitely better on a little dirt. I've only put about 3000 miles on them so far, so it's a little early to call them a success or failure.

Good to hear. I'm not entirely worried about the ride on road, as it's not my daily driver, and the price is better than the BFG/Michelin route.

I just bit the bullet on a set of wrangler duratracs. Let me say that people are proud of 18" tires. I really like them so and hopefully they perform well in the mud. I get into a lot of it. I ran destination mts on my old truck for years and absolutely loved then for the offroad performance but they hurt the ride and wear fast on the highway. Thankfully i sold the tires that were on it before i left the parking lot.
