I have the 11 pro as well. But my battery health is down to around 75%. So it's either upgrade or get a new battery. Don't see the need to upgrade, but I feel like with the incentives providers are offering cost could be a wash….

What's RCS?
Apple cares about two things primarily: Security and User Experience. You can believe this is true or you can believe this is just Apple's attempt to keep people using Apple Messages because it locks them into the iPhone. Personally, I believe both can be true.Civen said:The next iteration of texting standards.double aught said:
What's RCS?
SMS (old texts, limited characters)

MMS (Longer messages, can include pictures and video that look terrible on modern phones)

RCS (read receipts, full size pics/video, join/leave groups, basic reactions)
It would substantially improve the experience of cross platform texting, and as a consumer I think everyone should be for it regardless of what they personally use.
And end-to-end encryption of messages is not part of the RCS standard. It was added by Google as part of their proprietary messaging application which has to be implemented by the cellular carriers in addition to the applications using RCS (I believe Sprint using WhatsApp is the only combination of this available today).Quote:
As a standard, RCS isn't even particularly new. It was proposed over a decade ago by the GSM Association, a worldwide alliance of mobile network operators, as a new mobile industry standard intended to replace the aging SMS/MMS technology.
Yes, that's how much I sold my iPhone X for last year.evan_aggie said:
XR trade in is $350!?? That's good.
I need to check my XS value.
I am also waiting for the next iPad Pro announcement. My 2017 has started struggling a bit.AgsWin2011 said:
I was hoping for a new iPad Pro announcement. I guess they usually do those at a different time. Wasn't there a rumor for an October announcement? I have the 2018 iPad Pro and it still works flawlessly. Just wanting a bigger screen than my 11".
That is probably what I would do. There isn't a huge difference between the 13 and 14. At least not enough to forgo an extra $350 in bill credits.jakester03 said:
I'm currently on an XR that needs upgrading. $350 trade in from ATT on the iPhone 14 but $700 trade in on the 13 makes me think I should go the 13 route. Thoughts?

A 3 dB drop in background noise is achievable. May not even be noticeable to most users however.HossAg said:
There is no way these things have 2x the noise cancellation.
Branding a notch the "dynamic island" is the most Apple thing ever.RVAg02 said:But then you won't get to party on Dynamic IslandWES2006AG said:That is probably what I would do. The camera array improvement on the 13 Pro is noticeably better than my wife's 13 non-pro. If you're into photography it's worth the investment. If that's not important, I don't know of a reason to go Pro over regular.jakester03 said:
Thanks. Now to decide 13 vs 13 pro vs 13 pro max.
I agree. I'm actually intrigued on what can be done with it. Just think the name is stupid.htxag09 said:
Agree on name. I may be in the minority but I think it has promise. I could see myself leaving Astros scores up there, etc.
But we'll see how it actually plays out. Said it earlier, but seems similar to the mac touchbar that's been phased out….
