Everyone is reporting a Pro model or something to go head to head with Garmin in high end athlete driven devices. If true, curious to see if the battery life ends up being 3-5 days or even more.

No one is sure about AirPods being included or not.

Size is supposed to be 47 mm or bigger

If they kept it at 45 I'd probably go for it. Not sure my wrists are big enough for 47

The non pro should have a temp sensor and low power mode

I read 49mm, but we'll find out soon.

It is smart t for them to try to capture more of that market, but it all boils down to battery life. Some of the competition has 2-4 week battery times, but they also don't offer nearly as much connectivity.

Garmin Fenix7
  • Measures 0.59" x 2.01" x 2.01"; Case 51mm

After years of having an Apple Watch, I moved to a Fenix 7X earlier this year (28+ day battery life). There isn't much I used my Apple Watch for that I can't also do on the Fenix. Love the battery life and sapphire crystal.

The new AW is what I'm really interested in. Think it's time to move on from my whoop and I'm not a runner so I'm not sure that there's a Garmin model for me.

Any of them (they have multiple models across the $200-$1000 price points) - don't have to be a runner for a Garmin. I use mine mostly for hiking along with normal smartwatch functionality.

The new Apple Watch will now tell a woman when she will have her period. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Men can now call out their wives when they are lying about it!

If your wife lies about when she's having her period, um… that might be a red flag.

All I'm interested in is updated Airpod Pros. My pair is 3 years old now and the battery life is starting to get somewhat inconvenient. Still very impressive for 3 years old considering my original airpods were basically trash after a year.

This has been a thing within Garmin for awhile now....and not sure what's so funny about it? I've just never paid attention as it doesn't apply to me...

Yeah. Not sure how they aren't able to step this up. 60 hours in low battery mode? Competing watches are 20+ days.

i think it just does so much **** and has such a big/bright screen that longer battery might not be possible

if it was 45 mm i might be inclined to look at it but 49 is a deal breaker.

Yeah. Me too. I'd get it to run ultra marathons and mountain exploring, but **** that 49 mm.

Agree. So not surprised by the normal mode battery. But am surprised by the low power mode. That's the chance to turn all that unnecessary **** off. And they still only get 60 hours?

If they can just make AirPods that handoff consistently between my phone, iPad and Mac I'd pay $500 for them.

I wish they could connect to my phone and work PC at the same time. Super annoying having to switch them when I get a call.

Yep. That's what I was hoping they had on the first Airpods Pro. I thought we took a step back with the last gen Pros as far as gestures. The tapping on the originals was more convenient.

only thing that was remotely innovative this year was the airpods.
evan_aggie
How long do you want to ignore this user?

It's not always about "innovation".

More about: how do we roll out a feature that is polished and appeals to 50-100 million people that checks enough boxes.

Samsung (actually probably someone else) wins for foldable display phone. Great innovation...and???

I think the Dynamic Island has promise. Like keeping scores up there during a baseball game, but we'll see. Kind of reminds of the mac touch bar they got rid of....

I guess it's not that surprising, those things are a cash cow for them. I'm prob getting a new pair after two years in

I've had mine for 3 years and I'll be buying the new ones. These are still working fine, but I'd like the battery to last longer than 2 1/2 hours.

I see no reason to upgrade from my Apple Watch S4 or iPhone 11 Pro, though.
