Is the main draw of this those that live where quality internet isn't readily available?
That's a big part of it. I sent my invitation to my brother who lives in a rural area. He runs out of bandwidth on his satellite internet and then cellular hotspot every month. That **** would drive me crazy!
Even for those of us that have good internet at home already, the possibility of having wifi coverage everywhere is very intriguing. I work in a rural area and it's often impossible to do anything more than make voice calls on my phone, because Verizon has had the same ****ty cell service out here for 20+ years and they have the best coverage of any carrier. Having wifi access on my phone virtually everywhere would be great.
