The battlepass is obviously front loaded, XP wise. Your progression will start to rapidly taper off as the higher levels have higher XP requirements.

Is it? I thought it was just 10 stars per level all the way to 100? I didnt do the battlepass in season 2, so if thats the case then yeah it will definitely be more difficult.
The best way to get sniper eliminations is to play duo/squad and use it as your kill weapon after you knock someone down.

your player level is xp based. every time you level up, you get a star (or 10 stars for milestone levels). Higher levels will have higher XP requirements, meaning that you'll earn less stars from leveling.
you can still get stars from challenges, and each battlepass level is 10 stars.
Had 6 squad wins in a row on PC... thought we were cool until I saw that the record is 33. Granted we only had 3 in our squad so maybe we could've squeezed out a few more if we had a 4th

Haven't picked it up yet but love PUBG. Been told its basically the same, though you can build barriers in Fortnite and that it's a little more cartoonish. Is it worth making the hop between games?

Fortnite - building and quicker games
PuBG - more suspenseful, longer games with more strategy
Won 4 in a row last night on the solid gold game mode. I really hope they keep that as an option, you aren't losing fights by being outgunned. It was a fun change of pace. One guy didn't realize we were playing that mode and lost his **** when he landed and found 3 gold scars in a house lol.
Ha yeah I was watching DrDisRespect play yesterday afternoon and didnt know about the Solid gold mode. I was like what in the hell is with his luck. He landed and found a golden desert eagle, then a golden AR. Finally when he killed someone and that guy dropped 3 gold guns I started to put it together.
I didnt have a chance to play that mode last night but it seems like fun. I've enjoyed testing out the new modes that they make available.
Still havent finished my 2 sniper rifle kills for the first week's battle pass. Anyone know if the battle pass weekly challenges are going to close tomorrow or stay open? I hadnt seen it listed for sure anywhere.
In response to pubg vs fortnite, Fort is definitely quicker games, which I enjoy since I have 2 kiddos that like to interrupt games if they take too long.

If you have a sniper (and need the kills and don't care about the win), run towards any gun fight you hear. Then take out the victor. This works better in solo as there is only one victor as compared to possibly a team. They are usually down on health and shield so it is easier to one-shot them when they stop to heal, add shield, revive teammate, or loot. Just remember others are doing the same thing. If I recall, the sniper challenge is worth 10 stars (1 whole tier) so you don't want to chance it and leave it on the table.

I believe the weekly challenges stay open throughout the season but I'm not 100% sure. If that's all you have left, probably best to try to get it completed.

They must've fixed it. SMG final eliminations were not counting towards my new challenges.

Secondly, the gun you get credit for using on kill seems to keep changing. Last night, I knocked down several players and finished them with a pistol trying to complete the daily challenge. I didn't get credit for either as I think the gun used to knock them down was credited. It seemed to me that prior to this recent patch that would work to easily get credit. What are some of you experiencing?

I didn't do the week 1 challenge of opening chests in Pleasant park until wailing woods came out. The first time i dropped into pleasant park, I was the only one there (b/c people were going to wailing) and was able to open every single chest there.
While I understand wasting games isnt fun, half the fun of the challenges to me is going into the sheer chaos that having 20 people land in WW for 1-3 chests creates. I've had a good time trying to team up with others to kill people with my pickaxe. the weekly challenges have added so much to the game for me. I've been having a blast and get sad whenever I run out of the crazy ones to do.
It definitely spices things up. I appreciate that.

My experience with the weapon eliminations is that you need to knock and eliminate with the same weapon. I think it may also work if you knock them with specified weapon and then they don't get eliminated until their squad is wiped.

I've tried that and it really feels like a disadvantage. Playing with a controller vs mouse and keyboard isn't very fun.
That's because your turn speed is still limited, just like every other console game that allows mouse control.

I do online banking and investment transactions on this PC.
The game is for my son and I have no interest in it.
If it would be safer to install the game on an xBox or PS4 I'd be interested in knowing. We do not own an xBox or PS4, but I'd buy one if there is any expressed concern about the downloading of this game.

but this game is addicting as hell. your kid will want to be on the computer all the time.
the violence is cartoony, just so you know, there's nothing graphic.
I would make sure you dont have any auto-payments on your account, there is a lot of cosmetic items you can buy with real money in the game, which is a big part of the appeal. You dont want your kid dropping $100 in a night.
Oh, this too. The game is free, but cosmetic items, different characters/outfits costs money, some of them $20. I would not link your credit card or PayPal to the game. If your kid wants to buy something, maybe use a prepaid visa so he doesn't go crazy.
Have your kid ask his friends what console they're playing on, and get him that console. Keeps him off your work computer, keeps him happy.
