How are the editing tools on SmugMug?
I use it for online photo storage and the sale of photos with a "shopping cart".

This might have already been covered in the last 59 pages...
but...
What method(s) do you use for organizing your digital photos and backing them up?
I'll hang up and listen.
I use SmugMug for online storage (close to 2mm photos) and have a series of hard drives and RAIDs that are offline for storage at home and in the office.

Even if any online depository of images had editing tools, I'd never use it.
Lightroom, Capture 1, Photoshop are all I use
Any version of the Sony RX100 is one of the best pocket-able P&S you can buy.Ag92NGranbury said:

Thanks, it just caught my interest on their feature listing. I've got Lightroom and Photoshop, but when I'm traveling for work, my work machine doesn't have the horsepower to keep up. Would like to still be able to work on things on the road, but hate lugging my personal laptop with me that has the muscle to crunch big files.
Tom, what's the scoop on Capture 1? How does it fit into your workflow? What does it get you that you can't do with the Adobe stuff?
Maybe Best Buy, WalMart, or Target? What brand?BMo said:
Anywhere to buy a DSLR battery in BCS?
None of them places Sid. One I had on order that wasn't supposed to be here until later in the week or early next week was in the mailbox after I typed this.labmansid said:Maybe Best Buy, WalMart, or Target? What brand?BMo said:

You can get cheap ones from Vistaprint.com.Raptor said:
Thanks. I didn't have a starting spot. I don't even have a business card.
Do I need one?

Any local to BCS Nikon shooter that can help me determine if I bought a bad camera and/or lens. I have ran AFMA through my Reikan FoCal software twice and will do it one more time but the shots I'm taking are not satisfactory to me. I have 5 more days in which to return. Thanks.
Is he StudioOne? If so, how can I get in touch?dubi said:BMo said:

I was cleaning out my SD cards this evening. Photos from the last few years had begun to pile up and take up space on my cards.
Well, I mistakenly deleted all of the photos from our Thanksgiving trip to St. Augustine because there was already a folder on my hard drive titled "2018 Saint Augustine" and I assumed that photos had already been copied over.
I was wrong. Those photos got deleted from the SD card.
Are there any software options to recover those files? Or are they gone forever?
Gosh, I feel so stupid and almost sick to my stomach.

Crisis averted. Was able to recover all files. Oh man, that sucked.

Why do you have years worth of photos on SD cards?
Don't think you can get anything like that that will be tall.flintdragon said:
thanks for the recommendation but I'm looking for something even smaller. Like 15 inches folded up. I'm thinking no taller than the height of a backpack.

You have unlimited google drive storage on the former students email account.
No excuse to not have EVERYTHING backed up!
