A used 24-70 2.8 is $650.
A used 24-70 2.8 mkII is about $1350.
The EF-S 17-55 2.8 is a better lens.
And I got the 17-55 Amazon Warehouse like new for $600.

Glad you avoided the 6D mkII
My previous monitor was a Samsung and while pics looked great after running through lightroom, pictures were definitely much darker printed.Lavender Gooms said:
We just had this photo printed out and while it looked really good on my laptop's monitor, when it printed out, the building (and I guess the whole photo itself) was a decent amount darker. This definitely reduced the delineation between the vertical wood members on the left side of the building.
How do you make sure what you see on a computer monitor will be as close to what you'll get when you have it printed?
Thanks!

You do need to regularly calibrate any monitor if you are serious about having it look right.
Also remember than many places will auto edit whatever print to their own algorithm, which you likely don't want.

Guitarsoup - many years ago, you recommend I purchase a used body to learn how to take pictures. I rather enjoyed this using a couple lenses you recommended. A couple years ago, my Canon 20D started to give out. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles for the landscape, flying, and portraits I shoot.
Could I just buy a cheaper body and call it a day? I'm hesitant to purchase another older used body, but it worked last time. Any suggestions where to go or what to get?
Next question..what is my budget right? I want to do this on the cheap.">
I would never do that. It didn't come out right.dubi said:
I really like the articulating flip out touch screen and WiFi. Don't diss the 70D.

I was driving down the road headed to the gun range very early this morning and saw the fog and all the birds circled around the pond. I had my camera and the 100-400 lens, so I swung a u-turn and wandered into the field for this picture.TexAgsAnon said:
Killer shot, dubi.
So you're saying the D610 will have better/higher image quality than the D7500, even though it's a couple years older (I think)?Guitarsoup said:
The 610 is a full frame and will have better image quality because of the bigger sensor. Expeed is just the processor
