In our championship game, my opponent was done and I only had Chase to play, being down 14 points. Is what it is.

...ETA that I had Mike Evans on the bench, too...dammit.

so we are kicking around the idea of letting my opponent play Allen and Chase in their playoff games and adding that to our score.

well, he wants to split the pot and I want to finish this.

At the time of the incident I was at 90% chance of winning

Going by the standard rules of fantasy football, if you weren't leading then it sounds like you lost. Game got cancelled. Edit: Or I have it backwards and you won.

right, CBS has declared me the victor, but I am trying to be fair and finish this on the field, but he is demanding to be named cochamp and split the pot.

Yeah, **** that. If he wants to let his players play and possibly beat you, that's fine. Otherwise he should accept that his players didn't play and take his L.

Our league is small money so I don't care about splitting the pot. I am pissed because I went into MNF down 0.3 points with Burrow playing and my opponent had Diggs. By the time the game was stopped I was already ahead and was almost a lock to win the championship. Now that the game will not be finished they took away the MNF points and it shows me as losing by 0.3 points again.

(I too was a dumbass that had Mike Evans on my bench.)

Am I crazy? 2-week championship and it's coming down to the wire. ESPN says I have 50% chance to win. 8 Team league

Who do I start? I feel like I'm crazy to sit some of these guys. This is my starters and bench as of today:

- QB: Mahomes
- RB: Cook
- RB: Zeke
- WR: Ja'Marr Chase
- WR: Zay Jones
- TE: Kelce
- FLEX: McKinnon
- FLEX: Cam Akers
- D: Jaguars
- K: Pineiro

Bench:
- DJ Moore
- Hollywood Brown
- Thielen
- Goedert
- Jamaal Williams
- Nick Folk
- Colts Defense

I'm crazy to sit Zeke in favor of Williams, right? I sat ALL the wrong guys last week so I feel the pressure

What makes you conclude it's 60/40 skill/luck?

I'd say pretty easily well over 60% of the time the league winners are the experienced FF players that draft well and make the right weekly moves rather than the noobs/girls that have no clue what they're doing and play random players

in 10 years of our league I've won 3 times(including the past 2) and cashed out(top3) 6 times, each year we have at least 1-2 new/inexperienced players and only once have any cashed out(3rd) and usually finish towards the bottom

I guess I didn't account for leagues with players that have no clue what they are doing. My league everyone is experienced and knows how to play fantasy football. I'd say luck plays way more into it.

Hell this season our highest scoring team finished 4-10. They just faced everyone's best week when they played them. If doing a H2H league the player you match up against matters a ton.

Yeah, luck comes into play when you're playing against the people who are also active in draft prep, waivers, trades, etc. There's no freakin way anyone has enough data to turn this into 40% skill, that's absurd.

won 2 championships this year.

the first one...neither team had Bills nor Bengals...and due to a conflict back in August...I had to auto-draft the team. The computer did pretty well: Had the #4 overall pick.

1st - Ekeler
2nd - Swift
3rd - Conner
5th - Herbert
6th - Etienne

had to rotate WR's and TE all season. Finally settled on Kirk, Chark, and Taysom.

the second one...I went RB zero with pick #10 in a 10-team league. Still won the title despite Diggs & Chase taking do-nuts due to the cancellation. Fields, Etienne (again), Allgeier, McKinnon, Badgley, and Giants D/ST scored just enough. Opponent's 1st round pick (Dalvin) busted in week 17

I have Tee Higgins and I was up 12.96 vs Burrow heading into last night.

Half PPR and 6 point passing TD.

I was projected to win by .2

No idea what we'll do but I offered to split the pot.

We have a trophy. I've been the overwhelmingly top team in the league for the whole season but I'm guessing he'll want us both on it. 11-3 with 150 more PF then everyone else.

Also playing against the commissioner so he's going to be benefiting from whatever is decided.

Comish and I can't come to an agreement.

I agreed to split the pot but maintain I should be on the trophy per final stats.

He offered to play week 18 as if 17 didn't happen. I said screw that because Ekeler and Jefferson may not even play, I'd get blasted.

I'm going to get strong armed by the commish

This is dumb.

What is skill if it is not active draft prep, waivers, trade etc?

Like I mentioned, have 26 years of results with largely the same owners, what the data shows is that consistently there are 3-4 owners that are in the finals 80% of the time.

so Derrick Henry finishes his season with 1,500 rushing yards and 13 TD's...plus 400 receiving yards.

had 380 total touches. He proved very worthy of a 1st round fantasy pick --- top half of the 1st round even.

next year is his age 29 season.

will be interesting to see where his ADP rests for 2023
