His wife's post. Prayers to his family and for his soul. How awful.

Not good in so many ways
I've known 3 people who killed themselves. Two I knew only professionally, the third was one of my best friends as an adult. He's been gone for 13 years. He never got to meet my kids, he never saw his own daughter graduate from high school, there are so many times when I would have given anything to talk to him because he always helped me see the brighter times ahead.Max Power said:
As someone who struggles with mental health it's always tough to hear about anyone succumbing to suicide, especially anyone with a family they're leaving behind. Personal and professional success do not make one immune to depression. Most people suffer in silence, which is when they need to be talking the most.
I'm watching, quality is very nice!Iowaggie said:
Not sure how many will watch the preseason game tonight on Amazon Prime, but it is the he first NFL game nationally shown exclusively on a streaming network.

Damn, I'm sold on Dameon Pierce.
HA, that is no lie. Can't wait for Tunsil to get into the lineup.Tom Kazansky 2012 said:IrishAg said:

Me too. And Charlie heck is still an enormous ***** getting slapped around like a ho every play
Yeah, he's like Foster in the slicing running style. But more of an angry version of Foster, cause Foster never liked contact, which Pierce seems to have no issues with.MelvinUdall said:

I heard on a Dallas sports station today that, after the Tyron Smith injury, the Cowboys should offer a second round pick for Tunsil. Are the Texans even considering trading him?

I got to watch some of the game last night and while some of it was fun it's still tough to put myself in the optimistic category. I still have no idea what Mills is going to be this season. I do really like that the o-line and running game will be improved, which gives certainly gives Mills more of an opportunity to show us what he might be. I do think the offense improves overall just because defenses will have to respect Pierce, that fact alone gives the offense a dimension it didn't have last season.IrishAg said:
Ok, after the game last night you can officially call me cautiously optimistic about the future of this team.
Going back to where I think the different positions could end up being graded out at:
QB - below average to above average
RB - average to maybe might be good
TE - incomplete to maybe we should trade for someone
WR - average to good (interesting to see how good everyone looks when Cooks get into the lineup)
OL - SHOCKINGLY above average to good (if everyone stays healthy, they could be one of the better lines by the end of the year....which is crazy to say, but yeah, I'm gonna say it)
DL - decent to average
LB - still thinking bad to "hey, I play in the NFL, no really"
DBs - below average to might be good (depending on how quickly the rookies mature)
Barring any critical injuries I think we'll be at the top of my win guess and starting to think they are sitting at 7 wins +/- 2 games due to luck
Agreed on Mills. Is Not a Turtle said:
Mills needs to get more reps and keep going. He's capable of making all the throws but is inconsistent at times. Has a chance to be a solid pro if he can keep from injury.
All the doom and gloom on the radio is just garbage time filler since the team is relatively boring to talk about and everyone has a take on the QB. I'm not worried. Would be great to be a sneaky surprise team this year but really top 10 pick is optimal.
Only true must win is the Browns game. For obvious reasons.
