That's what I thought. Highly doubtful he was writing him personalized NDAs and never thought to sound the alarm bells.

Deshaun played the franchise and fan base. Dude is just perpetually horny and thinks the rules don't apply to him.

Just imagine how much time and money has been spent on this whole ordeal. A pronhub subscription would have been much less costly for Deshaun.

If anything, it's likely a fine, but the fact is the organization looks 180 degrees different from fall 2020 to now. Only Easterby remains, but it's unlikely he's the smoking gun.

I think that's an apt observation. When one considers that the Texans are basically using the settlements for positive PR, it's crazy to think this is the same franchise that has embarrassed itself many times over the years. Having Buzbee put out a favorable public statement was a master stroke (I'm sure he was very willing to make a statement).

Nah, I still think it makes the Texans look bad. They paid out because they are guilty. The idea they only settled to bring closure to these poor women is hilarious. They just wanted it to go away. Easterby has been and still is czar of personnel and culture. The organization pretends to be holy as they turn a blind eye.

Garbage still smells like garbage.

The Texans will look bad because the NFL media loves to use them as a punching bag. I don't know how "guilty" they are, but given how Buzbee has made Deshaun's life hell, they are very smart to try to snuff this one out.

Apparently the medication/treatment he'll be on makes your blood very thin and can cause brain bleeds. I know someone on his treatment team who said as long as that does not happen, he should have a very good chance of making a full recovery.

I've been on blood thinners from 1998-2001 and from 2013 through the present. The good ones are pretty risk-free for a normal person these days, but not for an athlete of any kind. Bruises from big hits could be really damaging.

The Metchie loss hurts, but there were questions if he'd be ready Week 1 anyway. WR is a position with a really big learning curve, so that's why him being out especially hurts.

It was so weird to listen to 610 on the drive in this morning and training camp talk was about.... football!
