This makes it seem like watson and his team think the ruling will go in their favor, why else ask the nfl to stand by the judges decision?

If the decision is appealed by either party, doesn't it go to Goodell to decide the punishment? Some speculation that the PA are trying to set a precedent that an independent arbitrator and not Goodell should decide the punishment.

recent suspensions of Hopkins for 6 games for "trace amounts" of PED's and a full season for Calvin Ridley for gambling provide some context

6 games likely less than browns thought when trade made.
Six games also feels low enough to draw Goodell's ire. The NFL wanted a year/indefinite, I'm sure there was a number less than that they would have considered acceptable, but six doesn't feel like it was within that range. Who knows that this point? If it's going to be appealed I doubt they wait long to start that process.Ryan34 said:BMX Bandit said:

No question.

Only 6 games for a guy that had 24 women accuse him of sexual assault.
What a joke
he's been "crucified" before. how did that turn out for him?rsf0626 said:Ag_07 said:

Meanwhile calvin ridley has to sit out a year for "betting" on games
Goodell is going to get crucified if he doesnt add some more games to this suspension
If fans start thinking the games are rigged based on player bets, they might stop watching. It has been proven time and time again people will keep watching players that abuse women.rsf0626 said:Ag_07 said:

You don't think there is a distinction between what he did and holding them down and trying to stick it in?Buck Compton said:

Dear God, that's reprehensible.
Of course there's a difference. That's not what I said and you know it.Panama Red said:You don't think there is a distinction between what he did and holding them down and trying to stick it in?Buck Compton said:
