He's from North Dakota so I'm sure the biggest issue is the level of competition. It seems like they are getting better players since they have been getting alot more publicity in the past few years. The team always wins so I'm sure he has been well coached.

Agreed! Its not a flashy draft but it is solid as you said.

My one concern is Williams off the field issues. I really hope all that is in his past. If it's not, I wish that the Cowboys would stay away from those issues.

I agree. If they weren't going to use one of their 5th round picks to trade up earlier in the draft, then turning one of those picks into a "2023 draft pick" with Clark makes sense.

Evidently he wasn't invited to the Combine, but then did well at the OK State pro day. Seems like a good fit for a 3rd day pick.

Main concern about the draft is no late flyer was taken on a RB who they may need next year if Zeke and/or Pollard don't return. Also could have taken a late round flyer on a second WR for depth. I assume both will be addressed with UFA's and/or later in the off-season with other teams' training camp cuts.

Only had two starts before his super Senior season in 2021 and had a good year. Voted team captain by his teammates. Academic All Big-12. Big game against OU. 4.49 40 time at the pro day.

Impossible to evaluate anyone's draft this early, but on its face based on position, Dallas at least seemed to address needs. And not sweating RB. It's not a need yet, and if they need to get 2 next draft, so be it. The key to this draft is how far and how fast Tyler Smith can develop

What is kind of tragic is that they basically traded Amari Cooper for a project tackle from North Dakota. Hope that kid pans out because that effing stings given how hot the WR market is

One of Dallas' biggest mistakes seems to be the inability to project where salaries are headed. It cost them with Dak because the more they waited, the more expensive he got. And it seems to come into play in how they mis-measured Amari's value. In February, yeah, maybe he was off-kilter in bang for the buck if you look at it like a snapshot. But now in April? Whole different landscape.

True, but Amari and Collins were no longer in their future plans and it was more about clearing the cap space and taking the dead cap hit now so we can get cap healthy again starting next year.

But yeah, with the trades we saw Day 1, a 3rd rounder would have been nice.

Cowboys have two good running backs. No way should they have drafted another this year. Improve this year's team. You can always pick up a running back and plug them right in.

How the heck did Lindstrom not get drafted? He wasn't exactly a top 100 guy, but somebody should have picked him.

But hey, I'll take him... we absolutely need depth/competition at center. If nothing else will be a huge help at training camp and preseason.

I hope that TE we got surprises us. The word I hear is that his production and film is really good, he just didn't run a very good 40 at the combine.

Just going off tape he's was a really nice college TE and should have gone much higher.
