When is the last front office move the Cowboys made that would be considered smart? Signing Smith? Not drafting JFF? Paying the cheerleaders $2mil?

Cmon guys we already know they suck. We shouldn't keep pointing it out ! What do you want the rest of us to do? Throw our hands up and stop rooting for them?

Over the last month, the Jones have shown what wonderful human beings they are.

Other than total incompetence and Jerry's philandering what did I miss?

Finally, a move that would make sense. We have a guy on a rookie deal that arguably played a better (or at least more consistent) right tackle than LC last year. Get something in return, save some cap, get younger.

What do you think we can get for him? A 3?

It's easy to pile on and they deserve some of it, but they've made some decent moves. Really, the only move I can think of that is just a total bomb is the Zeke deal. Adding guys like Kearse, Hooker, Kazee, Urban, Neal, etc. They've also done a good job drafting.

To me, the biggest issue is when it involves their top end guys. They draft good and they do a good job of bringing in quality mid-level free agents. It seems like when Jerry and Stephen get involved, that's when things go south - Dak (waiting too long, could have signed him for $35 or so), Zeke deal, etc.

And if this really happened...

This sheds more light on this.

The comparison is not entirely wrong. And Dak deserved to be punched for being so damn stupid on that last play

This seems to be just a fun troll on Dak going around. I think I like this description better

Agreed. With the way he played in the second half of the season, heck, this might be offensive to Kirk and/or Carr.

Cowboys are getting a ton of hate on this, but I actually like this move. Collins is not the player he was and while he might be a bit better than Steele right now, his play is only going one direction.

He did grade out okay if you like PFF, but he looked old and stiff a lot to me. This is the type of move people would laud the Patriots for making by letting go of a guy that might still be good, but def beyond his prime.

Collins is breaking down. Steele is a much smarter value. Then try to draft one in the 1st three rounds

And for a 5th and 6th round pick? Is that really the best they could do? Looks like Collins is going to be traded too. Wish they would have cut Zeke instead.

He's got $20 million for 2022 that will guarantee in a few days. Not many teams can eat that upfront

That video on the previous page of how many times Cooper was wide open and the Cowboys essentially ignored him speaks volumes.

I don't blame Cooper for being frustrated. Wrong of him to go after Dak but who knows how many times they spoke and Dak pulled some crap.

You don't pay a guy 20 million a year and give him WR3 target share.

Let's get rid of Zeke also. Sick of that fat Ewok clogging up the arteries of the Oline.

Zeke's contract is a lot worse than Cooper's but getting something for Cooper at least eliminates one problem contract.

If they find a trade partner for Collins and with contracts being restructured and players cut, they should be in pretty good shape. The draft and free agency should be able to plug quite a few holes. If they could rid themselves of Zeke, this could be an incredible offseason. Unfortunately, he ain't going anywhere.
Trucker 96
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Zeke's 2022 salary is already guaranteed. Unlike Cooper, he sucks so bad that no one will take that contract. This will be his last year in Dallas at least. The real kicker is that they could have kept him thru 2020 on his rookie deal. Insane to have extended him. Should have never answered a call from his agent.

With a RB, you tell them you are going to play out their rookie deal, may franchise them once, and that's how it's gonna be. Just be upfront with them.

They are dumb and locked up too much money in the wrong places. $25 million of 2022 cap money is tied up in Zeke and Jaylon Smith.

Front office has someone spying on cheerleaders and another has a lawsuit for an illegitimate child.

I'm guessing it's not Cooper

Only used Cooper well in his first year. He really could have been dominant. Seems like Dak just didn't like him??

And, we lucked out to get Collins in the first place when he was thought to be a character risk.

I don't understand how we let Cooper go.

Coop + lamb>>>lamb+ the next best 3 receiving options we could possibly sign.

The video does look bad, but I'd like to have a bit more context. I would bet you could find a handful of times Brady missed an open receiver and splice it together and make it look bad. Let's also not forget some weird times at critical moments that Cooper took himself out of games. I would rather have Cooper, but let's not pretend like there wasn't some weirdness to him and his game.

I think they are going to learn a hard lesson about how much he opened up for them even when not getting the ball. Short memories from 2017 and the first half of 2018
