I think this is on point. Just a marketing ploy to sell season tickets. But I highly doubt people reluctant to buy tickets will be won over by the prospect of watching the punters warm up in 100 degree heat.

Honestly, what would 3 days of mini camp do for this team? They are garbage.

Would the NFL ever get involved in getting Tennessee to sell Houston the Oilers name back? I know it seems like a longshot and not something the league would get involved with, but I'd have to imagine they are leaving some money on the table by not having that branding in such a massive NFL market.

If that was going to happen it would have happened when the expansion team was announced. The only chance that probably ever has is if the Titans are sold by the Adams family. As long as the team is still owed by his family it's not going to happen. But that would be contingent upon the McNairs giving a damn, which we all know they don't.

I know a good number of Browns fans, at least when their team left for Baltimore they got their name back when they got a new team. We play in a division with two teams who relocated and didn't give the name back to the cities they left, the other being the Colts. But the Titans don't even use the Oilers name except in history books and when they choose to be spiteful. The NFL did get involved several years ago when they wanted to wear Oilers uniforms in Houston, the NFL told them absolutely not.

My interest in the NFL is purely casual at this point. Honestly my favorite team is whoever plays the Cowboys. I have loved that team longer than the Texans have been in Houston or will ever be. The recent management drama and Watson situation didn't really change that.

I saw some "2021 Enthusiasm" video pop up on my phone. I guess that's about all they can call it. I watched it while bored during a conference call. It did have a couple of minutes featuring JJ. BS really, just to say how he set the defensive standard for the franchise with a few highlights.

The video went through all the positions except QB...hmm wonder why?

Texans trading for a guy that nobody else wants. Some things never change.

I posted awhile back that it was the belief he would come back and play this year. Kinda play nice per say. They need each other at this point. He would the. be traded next year.

However, of course, that was also before the litigation. Right now, the NFL has been in holding pattern w/ him. Watson desire to play could speed up NFL investigation.

Watson also would incur a fine of $50k/day fine but in cases like these those fines rarely are enforced.

It could be a play to be put on the commissioners list as Watson won't be in the court until at the earliest FEB 2022.

So there is a chance he plays this year while the whole time having one foot out the door? Sounds like a recipe for disaster in the locker room and on the field

The NFL was waiting to see what happens with Watson after police investigations is complete. However, know with the news Watson will show up, it might expedite the leagues's investigation like I mentioned above

Those pieces are play if he plays and even if he's traded.

Teams want Watson but for the Texans to max value for him he needs to play than rather sit out the year.

Pretty fascinating this whole situation.

Maybe the new locker room and training room will change his mind..

Pretty lame of him to report after what his side put out there all off-season. I don't care what circumstances are involved.
