Figured we should start this given the new season starts in two days.

Prediction - Texans finish 1st in the AFC south and lose to the Chiefs in the AFC championship.

7-9 is the best I see them doing. More likely 6-10.

Prediction: Texans finish 12-4, win the AFC South, lose to KC in the AFC Championship Game.

7-9. This team is significantly worse offensively and in the secondary. Deshaun will alone with them some games but can't make up for one of the worst off-seasons in NFL history.

I'm hoping for a shootout between two QBs who just got paid and want to go out and prove they're worth it.

Will be my first time watching the Texans without really caring if they win or lose.

From an FFL standpoint, I'd like to see all points scored by the Chiefs' kicker, Kelce and David Johnson.

I think KC covers 9.5 easily

I just don't see this defense being able to stop Mahomes especially him and Kelce.

Desahuan and the offense can keep up for a bit but in the end KC pulls away for a 14+ win.

No kidding. And I don't think the teams have been allowed to tackle in camp thus far, so I'm sure we'll get top notch defense.

I don't think the Texans win, but they cover. The Chiefs DB's are atrocious, there will be plenty of opportunities for the Texans to move the ball and score.

It's going to be there all year. My suggestion is that you choose happiness over frustration...develop tunnel vision.

I'm kind of worried we will be blown out by the 1st quarter.

No preseason and short camps favors teams that prioritized continuity. Chief have retained most of their offensive weapons, we swapped out our best WR and starting running back. I think it's 21-0 within 10 minutes...

I feel 9.5 is a huge spread for any game this early in a season where nobody really knows what to expect from the players with minimal contact/practice.

The Chiefs covering seems a lot more of a sure thing that the over. With no preseason, I would give the defenses a slight edge over the offenses in Week 1. Plus you've got refs who haven't called any sort of real game in 9 months for most of them.

Unless you think the Chiefs are going to score more than 35 (which it certainly could), you're relying on a Texans offense missing it's two best skill players outside of Watson (D-Hop and Hyde) to put up at least 20 points or so. Last year they were 14th in the league at 23.6.
