In my Airbnb neighborhood across 75 from Highland Park and Southern Methodist University, there are a lot of Talarico and Gina and other leftist signs in the yards.

maybe two for Paxton.

same thing up in neighborhoods in Richardson near the Park we hike at.

I can understand that because they are more lower income and lower educated in Richardson.

but this neighborhood in the city of Dallas and within a mile of SMU are very wealthy, educated and have good jobs. they aren't the college idiots.

and still they want to bring socialism to the country-

even though THEY MADE THEIR PRIVILEGED LIFE BASED ON CAPITALISM.

democrats have perfected the pay for play scam. It is way more profitable for many people and companies in these areas to have democrats remain in power than it would be for Republicans.

you are talking about inner city poor people and usually minorities

To offset the emotional responses, some very well off folks vote democrat simply because of cultural or social influence. It's that simple. Often, their line of work may dictate that as well. If they are tech or legal that they tend to lean left. Or, maybe they inherited their wealth. If they didn't earn it, but inherited it, then they may value liberal ideals. In other words, the consequences don't impact them.

Lot of it is Guilt for being Upper Middle Class, Successful and/or White. The media is to blame for a lot of this.

Also, life is so good for them they have forgotten or have never known any struggle to get ahead or just make ends meet. Now that they are living the good life they can not imagine someone taking their cushy life away from them and giving it to others. Otherwise they would be a lot more protective of their world.

Many are naive/stupid and actually believe that Socialism, raising taxes and seizing means of production and the assets of Producers will result in a better world.

They now vote on feelings and for who ever has the best hair.

Wealthy people might feel guilt regarding their wealth or how they got it so the seek validation in other ways. Social justice is one of those ways. They would just give large sums away if they were genuine but they don't.

Conservatives have stopped putting signs in their yard because they don't want to be targeted.

We laugh and point at people who have Talarico signs in their yard.

For some:

You can do the work to be a good person.

Or you can vote democrat and delude yourself into thinking you are one.

It's just a cheap shortcut to feeling morally superior.

For others:

It's just about fitting in with their social group.

For many:

It's both.

Yep. Even local Republican signs get stolen from our yards in Houston, so a lot people stopped putting them up because they don't want the Democrat thugs coming into their yards.

Coincidentally, my neighborhood went from Red to Blue as home prices shot up.

If you're east of 75 and/or in a neighborhood with Airbnb's you aren't in the wealthy part of Dallas

Tired of the corruption, lack of ethics, and constant whiplash chaos of Trump and the party that kisses his ring. Tired of waking up everyday to a new economic policy, a new foreign policy, a new childish rant (you are now the enemy of to still say AI??), and watching a once great Conservative Party kneel before an obviously crazy 80 year old yelling at the clouds idiot who seriously thinks he has reduced drug prices

The east side of 75 is nice, but it's not HP/UP nice. That's like Vickery Place or Greenville Avenue. It's gentrified, but there are probably still some pockets of so/so income households - especially in Vickery Place.

Also urban dwellers tend to be more collectivist than suburban and exurban dwellers. HP and UP are the exception. That's why they maintain their own municipality - to keep everyone else out.

College educated woman vote democratic 61% to 37%. And it's the women of the households that put out the signs. So, that and a aforementioned Republicans who don't put signs up so as not to be targeted by democratic thuggery. Those three facts probably account for 90% of what you are seeing.

The economy has done much better under Democrat presidents than it has under Republicans. I would imagine that at least some of the wealthy Democrats in Dallas prefer a good economy. Others probably don't like what they perceive to be racist Republican policies. One of my friends who was an independent swore to me after the Access Hollywood tape that she'd never vote for another Republican until the party repudiated President Trump. So that could be a reason for some of them, especially women.

Mind you, these are just guesses. I don't presume to speak for wealthy Dallas citizens, since I don't live there.

Tell it again!

As to "racism", the entire Dem platform is based upon racism. It's a core tenet of the ideology.

Complete ignorance of real world.

Dallas County has been blue long before Trump. Why? Because it's a large urban area. Almost every large urban area in the country is Democrat by default because that's where your ilk like to congregate.

This is known.

We could have had Mitt Romney as POTUS doing moderate milquetoast things and Dallas County would still vote for the Democrat 65-35. Trump is irrelevant.

So you vote for a party that wants to tax you more and still get nothing? Got it.

ETA- You may not like all of that, but what you vote for is more taxes…and mind you believe it is just taxes on the "wealthy", but it is taxes for all…the not wealthy are getting squeezed, locally by local politicians, but you'll still vote for it all because of Trump…gross.

A single independent journalist has uncovered billions of dollars of fraud in Minnesota and California yet the MSM refuses to report on any of it. Even California passes a law preventing any journalist from even reporting doing so.

Add in the fact that the DNC is broke since DOGE looked into finances. What happened to all that money???
