He's probably off with Epstein's buddy Reid Hoffman being his twink, Reid is bound to want something for that $11.5 million he donated to his campaign. As an aside, the way Talarico has tried to connect Paxton to "Epstein style" stuff when his largest donor is Hoffman is just beyond the pale hypcorisy.
In truth I am guessing that some Republicans do know what's going on at this point and that is why they are going to lean in on this. Talarico already put out the "flu" story which is clearly a lie after 13 days so at best he is just lying. A 35 year old man that won't do public appearances in the home stretch of a campaign is about as big of a red flag as you can find. He could just go talk to liberal groups and fire them up by saying "Trump bad" or "Paxton criminal" but he clearly isn't able to even do that. Something is very wrong.

Where is the "he has been missing for 13 days" thing coming from? He was seen in NY on the 28th of September, he live-streamed into an event on the 30th of September where he indicated he was just diagnosed with flu, today is only the 9th of October, so how is that "13 days MIA" math mathing?
He is scheduled for a town hall in Fort Worth next Wednesday, so it's not like all public events have been canceled until further notice.
Regardless of what's really going on, what Talarico's smug, awful advisors are doing is extremely unethical. Obviously, this is way more than "the flu". That money is meant, in good faith, to help the candidate campaign. If your campaign then goes dark for 2 weeks, you owe your donors an explanation and peddling some bull**** like "oh he's just got the flu" is unacceptable. If your candidate is incapacitated...the ethical thing to do is to give back that donor money.
When I was campaigning, I was doing vitamin IV's, we had a full on supplement regime, I wouldn't even drink water out of plastic bottles...I owed it to my donors and my supporters to be firing on all cylinders, nonstop; you can't afford to have a down day, let alone a down week...or 2 weeks, now, in Talarico's case.
Unless they're pulling some bizarre viral PR stunt, and we're just waiting for the punchline...what these advisors are doing is despicable. It's bad enough if they drove their candidate into the ground, but this "damage control" radio silence is just wild. Incredible cowardice and incompetence on display here.
The media are so pathetic. In the closing days of my campaign, I did a whirlwind trip to NYC so I could pop 7 national media hits and reach the biggest audience possible. CNN, Fox, ABC, NBC...then flew right back home. There were paps in the SECURE area of LAX filming me return.… https://t.co/dYdFwwDfk9

Why was he in NY? I don't think they get to vote for him.

If it's just the flu you would think he could whip up a little video, thirty seconds or so.
The fact his campaign cant shows it ain't the flu.
It's not the flu. "Superbug" diarrhea maybe but not the flu.

But Dan is right, imho, and heading into the weekend with no proof of life/real story is incredible.

Yet Paxton continues to lag in polling.

I haven't been asked by any pollsters how I'm planning to vote on this election. I'd be curious to know how many others here fall into the same category. I don't pretend to know but my guess is there are quite a few .

I get texts from pollsters all the time asking me to take their survey.

I'm so thankful the Democrats ran this guy could have gotten bad if they ran a real candidate. I'm sure they didn't expect Trump to fail so much that would make Texas in play. Just shows you how dumb the dems can be running a gay fem boy with anti Christian views. I think Paxton will be great for the deep state. I'm sure he is already compromised so they will be able to use that to get him to do exactly what they want. Paxton will not be a trend setter and will be years of status quo. Yeah something certainly isn't right. I put this at maybe a 1% chance of happening, but do not be competely shocked if this is all a staged and coordinated stunt...where he resurfaces in the next few days to come out of the closet as a gay man. Citing the fear and attacks that he feared from the right, but that he prayed about it and knows that his fruity version of Jesus accepts him, and he has decided to do the right thing, and the brave thing.
Is there any greater way to energize the democrat base than to come out as a heroic fudge packer??? I cannot think of anything that could possibly resonate with liberal males and females any more. Even the few straight democrat males that exist LOVE all things gay and trans.

Well, that won't get the black vote out, especially with Jazzy pissed off.
