Please stop with the debate gaslighting. The man is MIA when needed most.

How stressful could a democrat senator's job be. All they do is vote how Schumer tells you to.

I think he lost it when he's had to lie constantly and say he no longer wanted to get kids trans surgeries. It broke him mentally to say he didn't want his favorite thing anymore

He's probably off with Epstein's buddy Reid Hoffman being his twink, Reid is bound to want something for that $11.5 million he donated to his campaign. As an aside, the way Talarico has tried to connect Paxton to "Epstein style" stuff when his largest donor is Hoffman is just beyond the pale hypcorisy.

In truth I am guessing that some Republicans do know what's going on at this point and that is why they are going to lean in on this. Talarico already put out the "flu" story which is clearly a lie after 13 days so at best he is just lying. A 35 year old man that won't do public appearances in the home stretch of a campaign is about as big of a red flag as you can find. He could just go talk to liberal groups and fire them up by saying "Trump bad" or "Paxton criminal" but he clearly isn't able to even do that. Something is very wrong.

Where is the "he has been missing for 13 days" thing coming from? He was seen in NY on the 28th of September, he live-streamed into an event on the 30th of September where he indicated he was just diagnosed with flu, today is only the 9th of October, so how is that "13 days MIA" math mathing?

He is scheduled for a town hall in Fort Worth next Wednesday, so it's not like all public events have been canceled until further notice.

Why was he in NY? I don't think they get to vote for him.

Spencer Pratt has been on a tweet frenzy today on this.

Regardless of what's really going on, what Talarico's smug, awful advisors are doing is extremely unethical. Obviously, this is way more than "the flu". If you recall, these guys came to LA to take a bunch of money from wealthy Californians. It was one of my buddies who hosted him, actually, and raised a ton of money.

That money is meant, in good faith, to help the candidate campaign. If your campaign then goes dark for 2 weeks, you owe your donors an explanation and peddling some bull**** like "oh he's just got the flu" is unacceptable. If your candidate is incapacitated...the ethical thing to do is to give back that donor money.

When I was campaigning, I was doing vitamin IV's, we had a full on supplement regime, I wouldn't even drink water out of plastic bottles...I owed it to my donors and my supporters to be firing on all cylinders, nonstop; you can't afford to have a down day, let alone a down week...or 2 weeks, now, in Talarico's case.

Unless they're pulling some bizarre viral PR stunt, and we're just waiting for the punchline...what these advisors are doing is despicable. It's bad enough if they drove their candidate into the ground, but this "damage control" radio silence is just wild. Incredible cowardice and incompetence on display here.

But Dan is right, imho, and heading into the weekend with no proof of life/real story is incredible.

Of course, but he was seen in public which is the point. Lots of candidates, on both sides of the aisle, get money from folks outside of their constituencies, and thus have to shmooze with donors. Campaign finance reform might resolve that, but doubt we will see that anytime soon.

If it's just the flu you would think he could whip up a little video, thirty seconds or so.

The fact his campaign cant shows it ain't the flu.

It's not the flu. "Superbug" diarrhea maybe but not the flu.

Exactly right. His advisors know this whole story is sucking all the air out of the room right now and without anything else to believe, eventually people will start giving credence to the rumors. How hard is it to get Talarico to record a 10 second video on his Iphone saying "Hey guys, I am alive and just fighting off this flu. I will be back soon!"? That would put everything to bed and make Paxton's camp look bad for pushing rumors.

The reasons why he would not be able to record such a proof of life video make your mind go in some really interesting places. Is he in an in-patient treatment with no access to phones or outside communications? Does he have Monkeypox lesions that are too obvious to cover with makeup? Is he too whacked out on mental health meds to be coherent? His team could put all that speculation to bed with one video. But they haven't. What does that say about him, or them?

I got one text with a link asking me to do a poll, which I did and selected Talapedo even though I'm of course not voting for him.

Other than the one poll, any time I get texts from Talapedo spammers inviting me to respond, I respond with "James Talarico is a cock sucking pedophile" and then delete them.

He was lying. Again.

The Democratic leaders have issued their talking points.

I still find it astounding the Democratic Party leadership is doing so well considering they
  • were responsible for insanely high inflation
  • allowed unfettered fraud nationwide (learing centers anyone)(Medicaid fraud)
  • elected communist like Bernie
  • advocated illegal alien invasion for political power via census
  • affordable care act scam raising insanely high insurance
  • increased taxes hurting the middle class
  • defunding the law enforcement of all kinds
  • releasing violent criminals (some illegal aliens) that went on murderous sprees
Anyone considering voting for any Democratic candidate needs to reconsider their voting preferences

Talarico is supposed to be at some events this weekend. If he skips those and the CNN town hall on Wednesday, then you will know something is definitely going on.

I'm so thankful the Democrats ran this guy could have gotten bad if they ran a real candidate. I'm sure they didn't expect Trump to fail so much that would make Texas in play. Just shows you how dumb the dems can be running a gay fem boy with anti Christian views. I think Paxton will be great for the deep state. I'm sure he is already compromised so they will be able to use that to get him to do exactly what they want. Paxton will not be a trend setter and will be years of status quo. Yeah something certainly isn't right. I put this at maybe a 1% chance of happening, but do not be competely shocked if this is all a staged and coordinated stunt...where he resurfaces in the next few days to come out of the closet as a gay man. Citing the fear and attacks that he feared from the right, but that he prayed about it and knows that his fruity version of Jesus accepts him, and he has decided to do the right thing, and the brave thing.

Is there any greater way to energize the democrat base than to come out as a "heroic" homosexual??? I cannot think of anything that could possibly resonate with liberal males and females any more. Even the few straight democrat males that exist LOVE all things gay and trans.

Nothing is going to get them out for him. He is far too much of a white howdy doody lookinng and sounding weirdo. He was never going to energize them.

But if you want to get wishy washy male and female democrats off the couch and into the polling booths, there is nothing more effective that you could do than come out as gay or one of the variants of LGBTQ.

Again, this is almost certainly not going to happen, I just would not be surprised if this is some type of coordinated stunt. At the very least, it gives his opponents time to openly attack him and say nasty things about him. How will he respond to that? Certainly as a victim.

Candidates for high office don't just disappear from the campaign for nearly two weeks, especially in the stretch run. To try and justify or minimize it is absurd.

The interesting question is, how will his campaign try to spin it if and when he shows back up. Whatever it is, you can know 100% it will be a lie. There is zero good reason to fall off the radar like this.

Talarico is as a candidate as he was as a legislator. Absent and unreliable most of the time. Texas deserves better from its Senator.
