I just drove from Phoenix to Tucson in one of the heaviest rains I've ever been in. It's coming.
Can we actually please have a winter this year instead of just one weekend?

Don't know but it rained hard all the way from Phoenix to Deming, NM. I think northern Arizona is supposed to get good rains which would help.

The problem here is - reservoirs east of a Fort worth to San Antonio line are, in general, 100% full.

That means those lakes are going to have to let it all go. In west Texas - it's another story.

Polo is the dumbest name ever for a hurricane. When we repeal the 19th Amendment, we should return to naming all hurricanes after women. Name them after angry Democrat women and Liz Cheney.

So in Brazos County, we are going from basically two rains in three months to this.
No one likes a bragger.
I would have killed for two rains in three months at my house.
The one in early July was decent, but the one we had about six weeks ago was less than an inch. It's not as much of a brag as you think.
We are about to see one of the largest rain events that’s ever been triggered in the continental United States by a Pacific Hurricane.

Fall is nonexistent and winter is less than 1 month in Texas. Pretty much always been like that.

I'm skeptical of that data. I drive by Lake Lewisville every day and it is not even close to 60% full, let alone 82% full.

I'm on a well system and we had restrictions. I gave up on the yard, it's only green around the back patio (I have about 2 acres) and the rest of it is brown straw.
I've been out at 10 pm at night many times trying to keep my flower beds and newly planted trees (yeah, dumb time to do that but I lost a large crepe myrtle) alive.
I'm looking forward to the rain this weekend, just stop by 6 pm Saturday for the game.

Wasting water on grass is idiotic. I've never understood this thought process.
The grass will come back. It always does.

It's impossible for me to have that water bill because they only let us water once a week.
