The pain is coming for US citizen workers irregardless. The Indians will take their jobs with them back to India. If you don't know what I mean by that, look up rebadging American workers.

A lot of these Indians will go to work for companies like Infosys when they get back to India, while they temporarily rebadge American Citizen workers here at corporations to companies like Infosys. Then Infosys or some other outsourcing company will layoff the rebadged American Citizen worker (after they have trained their Indian replacement, of course)...So essentially we, American Citizen Tech workers, are going to be hosed in the end no matter what. And, the taxpayers and banks and our economy will be left with the entire mess of the foreclosures, layoffs, etc.

It will have a lingering impact in a few communities in particular, including Frisco, Celina, Prosper, Irving, and Las Colinas, but I disagree this will be the driver of an all caps big crash.

Add in, not many of them will uproot and fly back quickly over this, it would need to be in place as employments change over time. Deportations (forced or self) of illegals would/will have a bigger/faster impact on the local housing market imho.

And the housing market is due for some pain in any case with interest rates likely not returning to the 2 to 3 range any time soon.

Seems like the media and these real estate people are using h1B as cover for the fact that all these illegals are getting deported and that is what is crashing the market. Both sides are united in not supporting H1B so it's an easy target. Pointing out deportations & illegal immigration is a sticky situation with lots of blowback plus it raises questions of how hundreds of thousands of illegals can purchase nice houses (often using tax payer money or housing programs) so easier to blame the crash on Indians.

Will it be the situation where every single person on your street is from Chicago, New York, charlotte, Kansas City, etc? Nope. And hopefully not. We've diluted our culture with these transplants.

People that want to get out of dodge are having to stay put. Maybe this helps with hunkering down and build community.

Anyone flooding in large numbers becomes a problem. Not just Indians. Or Muslims. Or anyone. We let people game our system and helplessly watch when they run roughshod over us and change the culture.

I don't blame CEOs for this. Most of them followed the (bad) rules. I blame the politicians who were bribed I mean lobbied into this and framed bad laws and didn't do anything when it was gamed.

I remember a time when a lot of people were like, "We should definitely favor India over China."

There's a lot of them rolling around Arizona in F250s / F350s, hundred thousand plus dollar campers, side by sides, 4 wheelers, bass boats, etc. Barely speaking english. They either got a rich uncle in the Cartel in Mexico or doing something shady here to exploit the freebies from Tax payers.
