Here's your daily reminder that Talarico is insane.

Will a telarcco supporter explain what they like so much about this guy? Why is he the answer?
How are open borders going to help us with "affordability"? How is "equity" and villainizing "whiteness disease" going to work out for our kids and grandchildren?
For someone who votes against holding violent illegals, how is releasing them good for citizens? For someone who votes against banning wealth tax or a state income tax, how does that not lead to socialism?
They can't. They typically mention Paxton's adultery as a way to justify voting for talarico. They mention he's a Christian and that Paxton has bad character. By saying these things they're proving they're either incredibly naive or they're just spouting nonsense because they're leftists and want to win.
Adultery is one of God's ten Commandments and I would think that would have some importance to Christians. If Paxton can't be trusted in marriage, can he truly be trusted?

you don't think robert francis was a better candidate? Tell us why talrico is so good? What do you like about him, besides his ministry "man of the cloth" charade possibly being able to fool people into voting for socialism?

I have a friend who is an independent, but recently has voted Democrat. I saw her the other day putting a Paxton sign in her yard. There are likely other Independents of the same mindset. It is highly likely that Talarico and the Obama machine have blown this one.malibucharles said:oh no said:shiftyandquick said:

Don't be shocked if the Democrat wins during an off-cycle election with a very unpopular president.
Shanked another punt there

Paxton is a sinner like the rest of us.
We are all sinners. It's why Jesus died for us.
But there is a far harsher judgement for false preachers that lead you down the wrong path.
If you want to vote for Talarico, great. But he is leading thousands down the wrong path. The man is evil, he considers the Bible is propaganda, and has a number of views that are completely unbiblical and abhorrent.
They have been discussed ad nauseam in this thread.

I will admit that I am in a conundrum, I have issues with both candidates. I don't agree with many of the things that Talarico has said and I don't like the character issues of Paxton. Character issues weigh heavy on me, especially in marriage. My wife and I will be celebrating our 62nd anniversary this month and I believe adultery is a serious indicator of trust issues. I will just have to see how the campaign unfolds to come to a decision how to vote.

Do you have grandchildren and great grandchildren? Open borders/mass migration and mass amnesty, kid gloves on violent criminals, tax me harder daddy govt socialism, whiteness is an infectious disease, trans your kids isn't enough to help you decide because Paxton and his wife separated after 35 years and he has a girlfriend before the divorce is final?
Do you think like the misguided youth and today's democrat party that your grandkids will be better off in a socialist utopia when everything is DEI / equity of outcomes, redistribute the wealth/tax the rich/ make them pay their fair share, whiteys are evil? Socialism has never worked well before, why will it here?

I'm sure it's been mentioned on this mega thread, but if Talarico is confident about winning why is he running so many ads this summer? His ads are the only ones I see though I know election ads will really ramp up in October.
He must be concerned about swaying some voters while his opponent isn't running ads but I think it is turning some people off of the idea. Even my raging liberal step-mom has complained about constantly seeing him on TV. I'm sure she will still vote for him since she only votes "true blue" as she says. My dad says there is no way he will vote for that <insert word that rhymes with hairy here>

All of them told me Talarico is too far out their for him to get their vote.

A primary campaign and a general election campaign are two very different things.
Please enlighten us all as to how the hundred million dollar primary was so different.
The main difference for the general this time is that Paxton is going to get more black voters than is normal for a GOP state-wide. It will be curious if he comes out with ads targeting this demo next month/October.

Because the messaging is different. In a primary, you have to convince the voters that you are more aligned with the party than the other guy. In the general, you have to convince the middle that your policies are better than the other guy. The "coming to the middle' for a general election is an actual thing. You still have to move to the middle somewhat.
I'm not convinced Paxton gets more of the black vote. They may just stay home.
