This would be a real joke if he runs for President, but it would be about attacking Trump's policies and trying to hurt Vance. Would it? I doubt it, as Vance can always debate policy better than anyone else I've ever seen.

In the case of the DSA, it's China, Iran and Russia. In Tucker's case, it's one or more Gulf states. They're doing to us what USAID has done to everyone since the 60's. Their schadenfreude has got to be off the charts.

i say this sincerely, and under no pretense that it's exclusive to the right, but i really pray that carlson ends up being a cautionary tale for the right about being co-opted by charlatans and grifters drip-feeding them outrage and grievance dopamine hits.

he was arguably the most influential voice in the american right from 2020-2023, and that influence was enormously consequential in leading to where we are now. it was obvious to seemingly everyone but his audience at the time that who he is now is who he always was: a controversy-seeking human algorithm who latches onto and foments any poisonous ideology he thinks will keep eyeballs on him. he was not the first of his kind, nor will he be the last.

Maybe the only post I've ever agreed with you on. Tucker was every bit the phony on Crossfire with his bow tie that he was on FNC that he is now. I've said it since he was on Crossfire. Not sure how or why people have taken him at face value. He's never not been a fraud.

Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. (as Rush always called him) is not to be taken seriously. He's playing a role.

I still agree with the political positions and values that he presents. But something was definitely off for me in that interview. He always tells us that there's no difference between democrats and republicans - learning that Hunter wrote his son's recommendation letter reminded me that it's a big club, and I'm not in it.

The hawking of HE loans really troubles me. In the commercial he speaks to people underwater in credit cards and says it's because of inflation. He suggests putting up your home to refinance the credit cards. So, basically collateralizing your unsecured debt with your house. If prices are so high, these people are still going to need to use credit cards again in the future leading to them not being able to pay the HE Loan. Pretty disgusting and hypocritical.
