Approaching September now and what happened to the total economic collapse of Iran than was going to happen within days that we were told about months ago?

Trump now has new maga arguing over what maga actually is and isn't.

He still can't find an off ramp in the total disaster he has started.

New maga? Like "new coke" or more like maga 2.0?

Either way, hopefully they will have better luck with Iran cause we're into the umpteenth "two weeks, two weeks" of this whole thing with still no clear end in sight, which just makes the dems that much happier the closer it gets to election day, which is right around the corner.

Sadly New Coke is probably the most appropriate. We know how that ended up.

I doubt Trump dreamed up the total economic collapse idea all by his lonesome. But he did listen to his egghead advisors. Either way, keeping nuclear weapons away from the death cult and destroying their military is necessary.

Also, who's to say that Iran has not already collapsed? The IRGC would never admit failure.

And as a reminder the following deranged death cultists control Iran. We have too much at stake to allow terrorists to destroy world peace.

Regarding ignoring, they probably don't care about Israel. If not for the forever war in the Middle East, Israel wouldn't even cross my mind.

Second, Iran's government isn't defensible. But that doesn't mean we need to bomb them. China isn't defensible. North Korea isn't. The UK isn't. Plenty of indefensible nations.

We were told America First, but we were lied to.

America first means just that America first. You hit on middle eastern energy policy and that's exactly where we want to be. It's to late to go back but let's move forward by putting America first. That means in the middle East Israel should be at the bottom of the list. Every country that has oil is at the top. We need oil the cheaper the better it's what helps Americans thrive. Lowers the price of everything. Why would we ever be friends with any country that risks are access to cheap oil.

America first doesn't mean America only it's making decisions that help Americans the majority of us not a small segment. These countries have always hated us because of our relationship with Israel. A nothing country they do nothing for us stop being a friend to them. This isn't even saying they control our country it's saying a country of 9million people the size of New Jersey has cost us 25 years of war. They have given us nothing but problems put America first and drop them like a bad habit. As a matter of fact Team up with the people that our Israel enemies as long as they produce oil. Make America great put American needs first.

If you have 1 friend that's takes all your money and goes around picking fights with 12 other friends who will you pick? The 12 other friends never ask for money the actual opposite they have lots and lots of money that can help you and your family.

Every post of yours seems to show how little you know about Israel and the amount of money American companies, American investors, and American WORKERS make from our relationship with them. Not just in military but across numerous industries including agriculture, medicine, and technology.

Most of us around here graduated from the same world class university which has afforded us numerous opportunities, relationships, and economic opportunities or at a minimum friendships with those that have, to understand that Israel and the many world class minds that inhabit that country have made American companies and its American workers very good money and opportunities to work on world changing products and services.

This idea that Israel is some welfare state of the U.S. that forces us into ME wars is simply bizarre. If you're getting your information from the podcast bros or some other source that has no real understanding of how and why Israel became the third largest R&D capitalized country in the world, third only to the U.S. and China, then I would suggest picking new sources of information because yours do not really know anything.

This is not the same appeasement strategy employed by the allied nations against Germany - not even close. Iran isn't mobilizing forces to occupy its neighbors, that would be Israel. It appears Iran is sick of adversarial nations, to them, trying to impart outcomes that weaken Iran - any nation, whether you agree with them or not, would not allow consistent outside subversion of its claim to power - they would/should fight back. I'd expect the US to do the same against adversaries like China.

No one supports or likes the IRGC, but a lot of us don't want to go to war with Iran because we don't like them - we don't like a lot of governments, but that shouldn't be an excuse to go to war. We want less foreign intervention under the guise of spreading democracy and they hate us for our freedoms, we know that's a lie. We deal with and have dealt with many many many bad actors and murderous tyrannical governments, when it suits our interests, over the years to advance US goals and outcomes. These foreign entanglements always lead to less freedoms or lost freedoms for the American taxpayer whether that be financial or constitutional.

This is complicated conflict we should not be in the middle of. It's a conflict between Israel and its Arab neighbors, that we have been sucked into because we finance and hand wave everything Israel does in the region. They have been killing each other since the 50's with no real end in sight - more bombing and displacement of peoples isn't going to resolve the problem, only further radicalize both sides (it's been tried for nearly 80 years).

What do you mean? Nukes are old news. Now it is about lowering Oil Prices with that whole nuke thing taking a back seat.

Quote:

"I know that oil is down today and it's way down from the highs in the early days of the conflict," Vance told Fox News on Thursday, before the latest uptick. "That's goal number one keep oil and gas cheap for Americans all over our country."

He added that "obviously goal number two is ensure that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon." Tehran insists it has no desire to develop one.

Vance says low oil prices now 'goal number one' in Iran war as US threatens new economic pressure

My oh my….. if it isn't the consequences of my own actions…

At least they are admitting the goalposts have shifted again. Politicians don't give a damn about the people, worrying about gas prices means one thing only. Trump is focused on the mid terms now and what this war means to it. Just more war time political maneuvering now. New boss, same as the old boss.

When will I see these cheap prices? Paid almost 6 dollars a gallon for diesel this week, it was $3.30 before the war. Spare me the talking points JD. They are laughable at this point at best. You guys have lost the plot and have no way out at this point.

Well good points.

Remember Maduro was all about the illegal drug running. We had to sink those boats. We had to stop those drugs from reaching our shores! Then immediately after his capture it was all about the oil etc. Nobody even pretended it was anything different.

With Iran like you said actually according to Trump himself the nuclear threat was ended after midnight hammer.
The reasons going forward after that obviously seem to have nothing to do with that!

Politics 101: Find a problem that only you can solve, and even if it can't be solved, so long as the problem exists, the support will be there for you, at least from the most fervent die-hards. And, when you don't have to worry about re-election, there's nothing to lose.

How this will affect future politicians if the mission isn't truly accomplished will be like every president after the quagmire they created.

Think W and his War on Terror. Even A decade after W left office, Trump's first administration was still dealing with what W failed to accomplish.

Who knows. At this point maybe Trump is in full "throw things at the wall to see what stick with the masses" a la "two weeks".

What's just as noteworthy is the following:

Quote:

  • Hegseth said the U.S. military is capable of maintaining a naval blockade of Iranian ports indefinitely.
  • Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Trump administration is preparing unprecedented economic measures against Iran, with additional announcements expected next week.
  • Vice President JD Vance on Thursday said he is confident that the United States will emerge from its war with Iran in a stronger position, particularly with respect to Tehran's nuclear program and stable fuel prices for Americans.

Why are we talking about maintaining a naval blockade indefinitely? I mean, yes, we can, but why even mention it when all talk should be about ending this as quickly as possible?

"Unprecedented economic measures" sounds cool, but how's that going with Russia? And, yes, Iran has even less than Russia does, and that's the point. What good does it do to say, "we're now going to beat this dead horse with a different stick."

And JD... "Confident" "Emerge" "stronger" are all great talking point words, but at some point words become less and less meaningful, and the polls are showing that.

Maybe Trump needs new advisors or something.

Who cares. It's blather. He also said he was going to make Canada the 51st state and that we would take Greenland from Denmark. Neither of those have happened.

We are actually becoming more disassociated from Canada because of their idiot leadership and I think we announced a new deal with Greenland to expand our presence there without conquering them.

You really have to learn how to filter Trump's statements between his **** talking and actual statements.

I know the appropriate filter. I'm asking what HE means when he says this? What's the intent? Does he really think at this point that the ME / Iran really believes anything he says at this point? He lost any credibility on that after the end of civilization bluff. So is that directed at Iran? Or is it just political banter he thinks helps him somehow politically?

Our strategy should be independent of the Israelis-they have their goals and we have ours. Our best strategy is to box in and isolate Iran until a more sensible government comes to power. Sometimes, our goals and Israeli goals are the same. I reiterate what I stated previously: when your self-proclaimed enemy states their goal is to destroy you, believe them and act accordingly.
