We're winning bigly and the SoH are about to become part of the US:

So can we discuss what Trump means when he says his going to declare the strait US territory? How this plays out politically as the war still continues on with Trump seemingly not even looking for an off ramp at this point going into the midterms? Making statements like this is politically strategic how?
Who knows. At this point maybe Trump is in full "throw things at the wall to see what stick with the masses" a la "two weeks".
What's just as noteworthy is the following:
Quote:
- Hegseth said the U.S. military is capable of maintaining a naval blockade of Iranian ports indefinitely.
- Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Trump administration is preparing unprecedented economic measures against Iran, with additional announcements expected next week.
- Vice President JD Vance on Thursday said he is confident that the United States will emerge from its war with Iran in a stronger position, particularly with respect to Tehran's nuclear program and stable fuel prices for Americans.
Why are we talking about maintaining a naval blockade indefinitely? I mean, yes, we can, but why even mention it when all talk should be about ending this as quickly as possible?
"Unprecedented economic measures" sounds cool, but how's that going with Russia? And, yes, Iran has even less than Russia does, and that's the point. What good does it do to say, "we're now going to beat this dead horse with a different stick."
And JD... "Confident" "Emerge" "stronger" are all great talking point words, but at some point words become less and less meaningful, and the polls are showing that.
Maybe Trump needs new advisors or something.
