I just don't expect the Iranians to be able to sustain a real and substantive anti-shipping capacity. Some may disagree, which is fine.

Any plan as to who will govern 90 million people? What percentage of those are loyal to the regime?

It is already effectively closed because tanker owners won't take the risk. This has always been a concern in a conflict with Iran. Shipments greatly dropped through the Red Sea because of the Houthis and that is a lot larger distance to attack with a less capable Iranian proxy. As for how they could do it, have you not seen Iran drones hitting bases and cities a lot further away?
ETA. Historically, blocking Hormuz by Iran was a bad economic decision because they would also lose their oil exports but with their facility already out of action, they don't stand to lose much by blocking it now.

It won't be "interesting." It will be boring and predictable. It will be the same shrill, compromised politicians and their useful idiot followers complaining about Orange Man because the midterms are coming. How is that interesting?Kansas Kid said:

How ironic this statement is. There are many reasons to strike Iran, being a nuke threat isnt one of them. But nuke gaslighting is extremely effective at drawing support from millions of Americans living in the vacuum. It worked against Saddam, Kim Jung, Ayatollah etc. Just like the sheep got convinced "narco terrorism" was the real reason to snatch Maduro. No one wants to get nuked or poisoned with drugs.

There are thousands of posts on F16 about needing to strike Iran due to an imminent nuke threat. The sad thing is those arent bots. Just brainwashed Americans. When confronted with evidence of the played out gaslighting, they stick head in sand and write off as bots. Irony. Idiocracy.

It's just strange we give Israel billions a year for nothing. They are a leech to the American taxpayer. We were told it was for the best intelligence in the world then they let 3,000 hamas fighters attack across the most secure border in the world. I hope we aren't relying on them to keep America safe.
Next we are told the billions of dollars a year is so Israel can defend itself but they needed us in June to hit a underground bunker. They need us to wage war with Iran this is not a good return on investment if we give them billions year because they fight our so called enemies.
I just don't get it why one country would hold so much power over the United States. What do we get out of being Israel big brother that pays for everything and fights the bad guys for him?
The New York Times never fails to disappoint.

You have posted ZERO evidence that Irans nuclear ambitions are not a reason for for the strikes.
Just more of the same claptrap from last year. Anti-Israel disguised as isolationism.

So you are saying we should tolerate decades of despots to keep oil prices down. How neo-capitalist of you.
