Yeah, but it's almost guaranteed most of these properties, if not all, are in a trust that does not have the actual name of owner on it. Hell, our house is this way and we are not uber wealthy.

So, if he released the actual owner names of these homes (and has access to that information) then he's going out of his way to dox them. I'm not sure if the DB in question list trust names or actual names.

I'm interested to see the names though you may be right about non-descriptive trusts and LLCs

My understanding is that many many many of these types of homes sit empty as places for rich foreigners to stash money.

Lots of Saudi and Chinese holdings. But this release probably won't prove that.

Mamdani could have scored some points by over taxing non-American owners who do this but more likely he's after the Americans to sell to more of the rich foreign owners.
