From a purely political point of view, what these six did, knowing there could be consequences, would be helpful to the party when it comes to keeping the left riled up and have something to "fight for/against" come the mid-terms, and what better way to keep the left riled than for them to have someone who "sacrificed" themselves for fighting against the "evil" Trump and his administration?

Well we were talking about the FBI interviews and therefore federal crimes. I don't know if USCMJ even has a felony designation or juries, but that isn't what I was referring to in the highlighted text.
UCMJ varies not only by service branch but also tiers or levels of court martial proceedings and whether there will be a jury or not. Seriousness of crime and level of punishment available.

But Kelly will likely ignore any legal advice to STFU because he's an elected official and politics rules his view of the world. To paraphrase Ron White, Kelly has, "the right to remain silent but lacks the ability."

Yeah, I think it will be very difficult legal case to make, and IMO the Trump administration will have to be careful how they proceed here to not make it look like those folks are being unfairly over-prosecuted for political reasons. When the Dems did that to Trump with all those dubious New York legal cases it seemed to actually more help Trump politically rather than hurt him. And the same could potentially happen here in the reverse if the Trump admin overplays their cards in retaliation.
The people who made that video are experienced and politically savvy and that message was no doubt carefully worded and potential responses by the Trump admin entered in the calculations. None of those people have to worry about paying a cent of any legal costs as 3rd party funding would be available. The Trump admin will need to be smart about how they react to not play into their opponents hands.
