Holy carp. Is that she who's name can't be mentioned thanks to the shenanigans of F16?

Not sure how some POS stealing supports your premise that the benefits should end.
If anything, it supports the continuation of the program as it's better for the stores if these people pay with snap rather than steal.
And even if they are caught stealing, they go to jail or prison where they cost more to house than the snap was costing.
Not saying we shouldn't enforce the law, but this video doesn't suggest that ending the benefits will solve the problem shown on the video.

They will make their kids do the stealing. Even if you ignore the fact that it's currently very illegal to shoot people for shoplifting, if you are ok with executing 10 year old girls in HEB parking lots, then you have problems.

The arrest and conviction rate is tiny, and often stores just track shoplifters until they cross the threshold for a felony charge for that reason. But when they are caught for felony shoplifting, yeah, jail time is a thing.
But even if they were never caught, how does that support the argument that we should cut the benefits? The video suggests that they steal less when the benefits are being paid, and if they really can steal at will, then it's probably cheaper for everyone to just pay the *******s not to.

Completely asinine take.

Now that's the kind of actual discourse I like to see on a site that reflects on my Alma Mater.
I think it's important for people to connect those dots, because removing the benefits doesn't mean people don't steal. It means you get civil unrest, more theft, and then maybe eventually a reset to a world where they aren't accustomed to the handout.
As long as everyone is on the same page that things would get much worse before they get better, I can at least respect the honesty.
