Ain't it great what entitlement programs do to people. You're going to keep giving me free **** and if you don't I'm going to steal it from people. Gotta love leftist thinking.

STOP LYING.
In fact, for fiscal year 2023 (post if you have more recent data), 19.5% of SNAP recipients are/were 60 or older. I know a LOT of people in their 60s, particularly early 60s, who are not only still working but would give you the dirtiest of looks if you referred to them as "elderly." I'm not far from that age group (I won't be specific as to how long) and absolutely no one would refer to me as "elderly;" now, or I suspect, for another 10 years at least. My sister, pushing 70, isn't what anyone would call elderly just by looking at her or being around her. Yet I know people younger than me -- in some cases many years younger -- that can't get around at all due to injury/illness or whatever.
The definition of elderly is, in a nutshell, "rather old." 60, or even 65, doesn't fit that definition and hasn't for many years. With the continued rising of SS age requirements, even the government basically agrees with me.
You're trying to take one fact (60 and older) and misrepresent what it truly means to attempt to make a political point. That's not misleading -- at least not anymore. That's downright lying.

Let's think rationally about this- we aren't talking about stealing tvs or phones or whatever. Groceries. Groceries. Food.
Doesn't this make anyone stop and think?

Why do you think HEB is donating 5 million to food banks and 1 million to Meals on Wheels?
So they don't come to their stores and harass customers

One side is threatening violence to get groceries from innocent shoppers. Many are going to respond aggressively to that.
And your response is some pearl clutching plea for starving people.
No one is going to starve, and you absolutely know it. No one starves in this country. We're the fattest country on Earth.
How about not threatening violence as the first step? Seems reasonable.
If food security isn't a problem for some people, I wonder why HEB bothered to donate 6 million?

No one has the right to take another person's property.
And in Texas, the use of lethal force to defend one's self is protected by state law.
Of course nobody has the right to take anyone else's property. I didn't say that.
But I would wonder why someone was so desperate to steal groceries in the first place.

You are a leftist.
You don't actually believe in individual property. You believe everything that is entrusted to me by God actually belongs to you.
Don't lie.
I am a leftist. Proudly.
But wondering why someone might be desperate enough to steal food doesn't mean "I don't believe in individual property". That's just silly and ignores the issue at hand.
I'm not talking about someone stealing cars, computers, money, phones.
I'm wondering why normal humans could look at people who are desperate for food and then be very happy shooting them.
They aren't desperate for food. They just don't want to spend their own money on it. And they would rather take it from you. What, you think the folks posting these videos plan on just sneaking a bag from your cart while you aren't looking?

Yes. And yes, it makes me stop and think, if you try to take what is mine away from me via use of force, you deserve to be shot.
Want me to give you some food? Just ask. It's not that hard. I mean, if you're going to resort to stealing, it's not like you have any pride to swallow.

So they can afford all of their other fancy things. Not only are most of these people morbidly obese and the exact opposite of 'starving', look around...look at what they own, what they are driving. I have middle class friends who live more frugal than many of these people.

This guy is a troll. And if the elderly make up 20% or 80% of SNAP recipients, that is not who this ignorant lady in the clip is calling to arms. She is talking to (not warning others about) a segment of the population that would "snatch yo groceries" and look at you and say "I wish you wooooood". Those are her words.
I have never met a disabled granny that spoke that way.
Also note how she goes into "cracker" voice when she talks about the family that works hard in order to "afford this affordability" (that made me chuckle). This is a racist spewing gasoline on an already hot fire. A Tik-tok "PSA" is how you do it without getting called out for it when/if it actually happens. She wants it to happen. She just wants someone else to do it so she does not get shot. Coward.
Sounds like we are about the same age. Hard to believe the Atari kids are debating when they become elderly.

I was the President of a local Salvation Army unit for about 20 years. I cannot tell you how many Escalades and Mercedes showed up in the parking lot with their owners wanting food or for us to pay for their utilities.

When EBT recipients no longer have free government money coming in as of November 1, rather than them stealing from the store directly, this woman thinks that they’re going to be waiting in the parking lot to steal from you as you go to your car.… pic.twitter.com/7klRfkHMVq
We should NEVER had had Food Stamps or EBT in the first place.
