Team Inflation:

Trump - imposes tariffs
Congress - authorizes the printing of more money

Inflation always has been and always will be a monetary phenomenon.

Tariffs are not that.

Tariffs do not cause systemwide inflation, only shifting the prices of some things up, and the prices of some things down.

Maybe not systemwide but it does cause prices to increase for a significant portion of purchased goods and possibly services.

Given our market, and what money is moving where in mass, it also probably keeps the rents from climbing as fast as they would otherwise and gasoline prices cheaper.

If not those trade-off, there have to be similar trade-offs somewhere. That's not opinion, it the maths.

Show me the math.

Sorry, BusterAg

M2 is M2. Tariffs don't move M2. Which means some prices go up, some prices go down. You are basically arguing against a formula that has been proven. Don't have time to look up the formula(s) for you this morning, but can point you to Friedman and even Ricardo who argue that tariffs are bad because they reduce comparative advantage, but don't cause inflation.

Side note, not sure about what was in your edit, but I really appreciate civil discourse, so, thank you.
