Kelly Carmena, a Criminal Law Professor at @SouthernULaw, reportedly made posts on Facebook WISHING for the death of Charlie Kirk moments after he was shot.
The best part is that these people will now have to disclose on any future application that asks about them being fired from a previous job. I hope HR departments are asking this question and reinforcing verbiage about lying on applications going forward.
If they do lie on an application, I wonder if they can be sued for all earned wages and be held civilly liable for damages caused?
The Klein ISD Superintendent is an Aggie (Jenny McGown). Hopefully, she will have the courage to do the right thing regarding this hateful teacher / coach.
Is this another that just wants to surrender to any armed foe? What's with them. And again, never talk about reforming and speeding up the criminal punishment process and restoring some public demonstrations.
I find it funny that so many of these ****s are deleting their videos and making their accounts private. They have no ****ing backbone. Stand by what you said you evil ****s. The minute they get backlash they delete it and some even play the victim. What a bunch of *******
Our country is broke. No other way to say it. Seeing the vile crap posted by people is so disturbing it's not even funny. My heart and mind is broken….no justification in this whatsoever.
Yep. Now I can see how Hitler convinced Germans to dehumanize humans.
The biggest ones for me are the teachers. Them celebrating an assassination is on a whole different level because of their access to kids. There is simply no way that the sick warped leftist mind of that chick that led the Sully protests is not letting her political leanings seep into her teachings. She should have zero access to kids as an employed teacher.
Going from police work where 90+% of officers are Republican or at least bend in that direction to public education has been an eye opening experience to say the least.
For the love, why can't people stay off social media!?!
Most people do not say these things or behave this way in public, but give them a keyboard and they just can't help themselves. Accountability... they brought it upon themselves.
It shows how emboldened the left are. They put their employer or business right in their profile and have zero hesitation to say those kind of horrible things because they've never been called out before.
While I detest these people, this is just the right cancelling the left exactly as they did to us. It's detestable. It's exactly how free speech gets killed.
If anyone was hesitant to post things on social media following the 2016 election/Covid/etc due to fear of cancellation, this is exactly the same thing.
for the 100th time you can say what you want but you are not free from consequences not since the advent of the internet why is this a hard concept to understand?
So you were cool with the left doing their best to cancel people because those are the consequences?
To me, the devil in in the details. Depending on what you do and what you say, it should sometimes cost you your job. I think school teachers celebrating murder fits that. But I'm not naive enough to believe that everyone will agree with where I draw the line and the pendulum will swing back the other way at some point. Be careful what you wish for.
im saying use your fing brain why are you compelled to post comments on social media under your name? Especially in the day and age we live in.
I understand what you're saying. But invariably, if you say what you mean, you're only anonymous until someone figures out who you are. What you seem to be arguing is "say whatever you want as long as nobody knows who you are", but if they figure it out…no holds barred
And the no holds barred is what I think is the problem. Going after people's livelihoods is exactly what the left did for years and it died down because Cancel Culture was so awful, regular people had enough. Now we are doing the same thing
There's a difference between somebody being fired for saying all lives matter and a nurse being fired for saying everybody like Charlie Kirk should die. Not sure how you could ever rely on their treatment for half the population.
The other side of it is maintaining social norms. If for no reason at all, a person goes around town saying another person is a giant POS and should die, it's necessary to have social pressures in-place to prevent anti-social behaviors. It's perfectly fine for the town to treat the person causing trouble as a pariah.
Not in my entire life, not ever, would have have believed this many people, especially in academy, would be celebrating a political assassination as good.
I've avoided this thread but for those who want to see more such vile people celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Matt Van Swol has many more on his timeline. I had no idea, until this week, how evil so many people around us are, in this country. Yes, almost all of them celebrating like this are democrats of course, but I am completely floored by it.

Sure,
A comedian making a joke, posting concerns that his son is playing with a doll house is exactly the same thing as celebrating the political murder of a Christian pacifist.
Here are Palestinian's celebrating in the streets the day after 9/11. Would you want someone working for your company that participated in this:
Some public political expressions are intolerable, and deserve to get you fired. There are laws in place to make sure that the government doesn't attack you, but that doesn't mean that society has to accept you.
None of the people that got fired for celebrating Charlie Kirk's death deserve to go to jail. I would fight for their right to avoid government prosecution for what they tweeted. But, 1st amendment protects you from government tyranny, not consequences.
Let's go even further. If an employee brought a cake to the office yesterday that featured two skyscrapers on fire, and invited everyone to come celebrate with them, should they still keep their job?
You have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. Drawing that line in the sand so that celebrating the political assassination of a 31 year old rising star of the Republican party who preached TOLERANCE and COMMUNITY/DISCUSSION TO COMBAT VIOLENCE is on the side of the line where you get fired is very preferable in my book.
Or, maybe, you think that this kind of political assassination is also 1st amendment protected free speech?
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.
95% of crazy idiots rejoicing and posting stupid stuff are women.
Wow.
Saudi Arabia got it right IMO.
Not all women are like this, but categorizing all of us all together and saying this + appeal the 19th Amendment is quite literally no better than the behavior of those on the left categorizing all on the right as Nazis. Be better.

You need to spend more time on your Gameboy instead of any participation in political commentary.
