Hopefully this translates into a victory the next two election cycles. The next time a Dem takes the presidency, the border is gone.

The article is not paywalled.

Quote:

The Democratic Party is hemorrhaging voters long before they even go to the polls.

Of the 30 states that track voter registration by political party, Democrats lost ground to Republicans in every single one between the 2020 and 2024 elections and often by a lot.

That four-year swing toward the Republicans adds up to 4.5 million voters, a deep political hole that could take years for Democrats to climb out from.

Quote:

All told, Democrats lost about 2.1 million registered voters between the 2020 and 2024 elections in the 30 states, along with Washington, D.C., that allow people to register with a political party. (In the remaining 20 states, voters do not register with a political party.) Republicans gained 2.4 million.

You make it sound like that is a bad thing.

It isn't.

The Democrats are in a precarious position now.

They have not only alientated ANYONE that is Centrist-Liberal and to the right of that..... but their national party is HATED by the far left Socialists/Communists within it. It is literally eating itself.

Hakeem Jeffries is struggling to distance himself from the Socialist Far Left flank - and now they want to primary Jeffries in NYC.

All while Trump has been effective at MOST of his domestic and foreign policy initiatives.

I think that's actually what they're doing, Apparently they got the memo.

I am pro Trump as they come but the Republicans need to get a backbone on the debt or we won't even have a country.

A Democrat civil war which results in the party fracturing into multiple entities would be the best thing possible for this country.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

This is the biggest thing I disagree with Trump on.

The notion that we all just sit around and follow him as a cult leader, an accusation I see here by some F16 libs, is simply not true.

We must reduce the debt. Federal spending is the problem. And both parties are addicted to pork.

There is a significant portion of the Dems/left that believe they lost the 2024 elections because they didn't go further left...

I hope that no one does anything to dissuade them from that position and they try it in 2026/2028.

How incompetent do you got to be in order to lose to Trump three times in a row?

You've stacked the deck and hold ALL the cards but still couldn't get it done.

Almost every major financial player out there right now wants this game to keep going for as long as it can, which means that when the bubble bursts it will be worse than catastrophic.

Democrat rebranding just seems so much harder now. The internet is forever and these fools have made their extremist opinions very clear. A crumbling legacy media will be of no avail. Their only hope is a plunging US economy or some other calamity that can be blamed on Trump.

Well... if the Dems are fragmenting into Democratic Socialists and Left Liberal Globalists...... that's one way to quickly reach a supermajority.

The Democrats are finding out that keeping a patchwork of diametrically opposed groups together is hard.

Democrat birth rates have collapsed much faster than Republican birth rates as well.

A 2018 study from the Institute for Family Studies found that women who identify as conservative or Republican-leaning have a total fertility rate (TFR) of about 2.0 children per woman, compared to roughly 1.6 for women identifying as liberal or Democratic-leaning. This gap of 0.4 children per woman translates to conservatives having about 25% higher fertility.

Post-2020 Context: The Demographic Intelligence Family Survey (DIFS) from 2020 to 2022 indicates a widening fertility gap between religious and nonreligious Americans, suggesting that devout groups (including Conservative Christians among Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestants) maintain higher fertility than secular groups.

While the birth rate among Conservatives did experience decline, the decline was far-far sharper among Liberals. There are also numerous left/liberal folks who believe having children 'hurts the environment' along with a far far higher rate of abortion amongst liberal women.

I believe the 2030 census will show that Conservative birth rates will have increased in the .2 to .3 range while the Liberal birth rate declines further. This also does not take into account that Conservatives are far more likely to adopt than Liberals as well.

This is a part of the long term math against the Democrats that can only be offset by unfettered immigration of people groups that are dependent on Democrat handouts... which creates Democrat voters.

When you keep taking the 20% side in 80%-20% issues, you'll eventually be at 20% approval. Amazing how the math works out.

Democrats have finally alienated all but the 20% loudmouths on the hard left, and the leadership is stupidly still catering to them. They picked the wrong horse and now they can't control it as it speeds full tilt over a cliff.

It's taken most of my adult life, but now they are finally reaping what they have sown.

How many seats in the house did they cheat their way into? At least 5 in California where the republican had a significant lead only to be overtaken weeks later by mail in votes… that just seemed to keep coming until they had enough.

No, it isn't. The party needs to continue it's path to irrelevance until it no longer exists. Then, hopefully, it'll be replaced for the non right, by people that give a Fk about everyone else in the country that isn't living in Wokeland
