Wait. Is this Jake Sullivan? Same guy eyeball deep in lots of the scandals over the last few years? Corrupt to the core Jake Sullivan? He belongs in prison. If he's talking, there's a grift going on. He can kindly shut the **** up.

MTP was as terrible as one would expect this morning. Welker's interview of Rubio juxtaposed with her fallating of Chris Murphy (D-CT) shows how biased MSM remains despite any notions they may actually be moderating that bias.

Same tired talking points that are posted here by others. "Putin played Trump like a fool"; "Red carpet and a honorary flyover"; "inviting a mass murdering war criminal onto US soil and not arresting him shows weakness"; "there can never be peace made with Putin so its stupid to try".

Then, in yet another talking point by the libs, they evidently put together proposed legislation to ALLOW Trump to put in secondary tariffs, but said that Trump has told Thune not to bring it up.

So libs want legislation to replicate what Trump proposes but simultaneously sues him to keep him from doing those same things on his own as POTUS. Dems are just complete scum.

Both Ukraine and Russia are worthless, corrupt s-holes. I wish the war never happened and will end ASAP, but there's no reason to pretend either of them deserve our money or attention. The pearl clutching is ridiculous, this has nothing to do with us.

I disagree. If you want to be seen as a global power it does. I'm not sure we carry the weight we used to.

George Friedman at Geopolitical Futures had what I think is an onpoint and succinct take on Ukraine v Russia and our involvement.
Quote:

"And the reality is this: The United States has little at stake in the war. Whether or not it continues is immaterial to Washington, and there is no strategic consequence if Russia conquers all of Ukraine something it has not even come close to doing. The fate of Ukraine does not change the balance of power in Europe; the Russian military's performance in the war makes a Russian invasion of Europe hard to imagine, and opening another war in, say, the Baltics would risk a massive change in European defense policy, which would ultimately benefit the United States. And the U.S. is, meanwhile, under no direct threat of a Russian attack."

He goes on to discuss that this war IS important to Russia and particular Putin and claims Putin played Trump are laughable and ignore the actual issues.

Wrong, we're already seen as a global power, at least now that we've removed DEI and woke crap from the armed forces.

If you don't think we're seen as a global power just wait for a country to f*** with us directly.

Never said we weren't a global power, just that we don't carry as much weight as we used to. I have know idea how you misinterpreted that.

You said we were in danger of not being "seen" as a global power, that's where I had the disagreement. We definitely ARE seen as a global power and are not at risk unless another Dem POTUS tries to go woke on it.

There is no room for DEI nonsense in the military (or anywhere else for that matter).

Didn't say that either but whatever. At least I can agree on the DEI with you.

Cuts in USAID funding got Mary Louis Kelly and the gang at NPR relegated to reporting on a lunch menu for a lunch that never happened.

Sad really, They should think about refocusing their efforts on tinkling-piano human-interest pieces which is what they do best.
