Well, it'd be nice if the Feds seized the funds of whomever bankrolled their excursion. Maybe it's the Pritzkers?
The Texas Supreme Court has now ordered the runaway ring leader of the derelict Democrats to respond to my lawsuit by Friday. pic.twitter.com/AS2OaX0zPF

If Texas Supreme Court says he has the right, it's over, correct?
As in the would have no standing to appeal to SCOTUS as clearly the state ruled it was following its own constitution.

Yep. Let's hope they get removed. Then the Texas state house will be 100% GOP.

And still mostly liberal.

This thread is filled with butthurt feels from people who are mad at Dems for preventing Republicans from getting what they want.

If my boss wanted to have a meeting with our team and we all decided not to come in just so the meeting couldn't happen, we would all be let go.

No no no! This would be bad. The Feds have no business getting involved with this.

I will repeat myself yet again - depriving a governing body of a quorum has been a legitimate form of dissent for as long as representative government has existed.

Your job is not equivalent to a governing body.

In 1870, they were arrested, like is going to be done in 2025.
Glad we agree that everything being done by Abbott here is the norm. You don't have to like it, but its a historical fact.

Yes, Dems did, in fact, agree to the House Rules, so while they have the right to break quorum, they are also subject to the consequences of doing so in accordance with the House Rules.

I find it utterly unsurprising that democrats, as demonstrated on this thread and in the government in this case, are fully on board with gaming the system for their own benefit. It's very exemplifying.

Because Republicans have never gamed the system for their own benefit ... like by convening for the purpose of out-of-cycle redistricting to increase the number of Republican House districts because Trump is afraid of losing the House in 2026. I find it utterly unsurprising that Republicans, as demonstrated on this board, are fully on board with gaming the system for their own benefit.
Democrats need to stop being ******* and start using the Republican playbook to get stuff done.
