I think it reflects poorly on the administration - they screwed up when they deported him, and it sounds like they found out about all of the things he's charged with after the fact. Ready, fire, aim.

This is coming from someone absolutely in favor of locking the border down and getting illegal immigration under control. They 'fixed the glitch' but they shouldn't have had one to begin with.

Edit: not a good look for the other side either of course, he was a terrible example for them to use.
Why is it so important that he's tried here?

Due process protects all of us. Would you want to be nabbed, taken to El Salvador and tried?

I would want at least a quick hearing where I could prove my citizenship and present witnesses that they nabbed the wrong dude. Here. In an American court.

I get the feeling that the melanin challenged don't ever worry about being nabbed, mistakenly or not. Call it a gut feeling.
Why do liberals say stuff like this?

Because they're the true racists. They loathe whites with every fiber of their fragile being.

I agree with it may end up being good politically for Republicans for the democrats to continue to fawn over the gangbanger, but for an administration trying to cut costs and be more efficient, this cannot be good. How many hundreds of thousands of $$$ is it to find him, deport him once, bring him back, charge him, try him in court and then potentially deport him again?
Well, if it's any consolation, it has to cost a lot less to rename the USNS Harvey Milk.
I know Harvey Milk was in the Navy for four years. Is that why they named the boat after him or was it for some other reason?

And you would be wrong.

This is not racially based. Illegals come from all countries we just get more from certain parts.

Someone should keep track of how much taxpayer money we waste importing, prosecuting, incarcerating and re-deporting this loser, just to hang it on the Dems.

Saw this as a comment on one story and it's absolutely spot on.

Quote:

Democrats are not be going to be happy with Garcia's "due process".
Garcia is coming back to face even more horrific charges than when he left.
Good on the Trump Administration for holding him accountable for the human trafficking crimes he committed (while law enforcement were instructed to turn the other cheek). I wouldn't be surprised if more charges are in the works.
The Justice Department's Grand Jury Indictment against Abrego Garcia proves the unhinged Democrat Party was wrong, and their stenographers in the Fake News Media were once again played like fools," a Trump administration statement said. "Abrego Garcia was never an innocent 'Maryland Man' he is an illegal alien terrorist, gang member, and human trafficker... Democrat lawmakers like Senator Chris Van Hollen and the so-called 'journalists' who defended this criminal must immediately apologize to his victims."

At least the taxpayers won't have to pay for airplane flights for Van Hollen to exercise his conjugal visits.

You don't get a ship named after you for merely being in the Navy for four years. HTH

He was afforded due process multiple times but attorneys always want more bites at the apple. Especially the miserable liberal shysters.

He wasn't mistakenly deported, no matter what the left says. The guy is a citizen of El Salvador was here illegally and was doing illegal things. The Trump administration said if the El Salvador president wanted to send him back they would deal with it, but they weren't going to push for it. And if he was sent back, he would've been deported immediately or he will be tried for his crimes. They warned him. They warned everyone. But the Democrats didn't care. They made him their cause celeb.

This isn't a bad luck on the Trump side. It's a bad luck on the Democrats and the judges side. HTH.

Yeah, the libs are going to get more than what they bargained for on this deal. I can hear them in a back room right now saying - Oh crap, what do you mean their actually bringing him back?

They've been trying to use it as a political bludgeon, and now they're going to get pounded by it.

They own this and the political repurcussions that come of it 100%.

It isn't just the left saying that. SCOTUS said it, because the government admitted it. That would make it a true statement.

The United States acknowledges that Abrego Garcia was subject to a withholding order forbidding his removal to El Salvador, and that the removal to El Salvador was therefore illegal. The United States represents that the removal to El Salvador was the result of an "administrative error."

Have they filed anything correcting it? I haven't seen it, but there's a lot of paper in this case, so could have missed it!

I just can't imagine being a lib and trying to justify defending this absolute piece of ****. Don't y'all have any shame?

I get that Trump can be a lot and says some outlandish **** sometimes but if you're a Dem, and you have any compassion for this scumbag but none for his "wife" or anyone he trafficked or the kids he potentially could molest WTF is wrong with you?

No I wasn't implying you, just the collective "y'all" of libs that somehow seem to justify defending this cretin. It's remarkable how tone deaf they are to 80% of the country.

Actually gives the democrats an out. Once convicted they will be able to distance from him and say "we are glad justice prevailed. All we wanted was the rule of law and Trump is lawless"

This is a problem of ruling republicans living in the DC bubble. They lose touch very easily and cave.
