I was curious, so I measured my Kershaw EDC knife. It has a 3" blade and is 7" overall when opened. Just to give folks a sense of size.

I wouldn't call it a big knife.

99 years is deserved. I am hoping they do at least 60 so this a-hole is behind bars for a guaranteed 30 years before eligible for parole.

Honestly surprised by the amount of publicity over this case, given the undisputed nature of most of the facts. He was always going to be found guilty of murder, there's just nothing else that could have happened here with the facts being what they are. The only things in dispute are irrelevant to the question of whether or not this was murder. Even in Karmelo's version of events, this was STILL murder.

Usually the big racial cases the media runs with are shrouded in a lot more doubt, at least initially, than this one. There's just nothing even remotely in doubt here.
