seems clear that samurai science was saying the "ruling that blocked the Trump administration from enforcing a portion of an executive order seeking to penalize Democrat-linked law firm Perkins Coie" would not stand

Sorry. I got off topic.

I have no opinion there, because I haven't really read up on it.

But the whole thing seems to me just to be kabuki theatre. Trump's EO was an insult, the Judge's ruling was an insult right back, and neither the EO nor the ruling likely change much if anything at all.
