Due process? Due process rights to a security clearance? That's a first for me.
Because what Trump did was not a violation of law. Know that is a difficult concept to grasp but it was not in any manner a felony, even under NY law.Aggie Dad Sip said:
Are we really the kind of society that has devolved to the point where we're cool with just ignoring the rule of law? So many people around here completely dismiss the Trump convictions because of "lawfare". However, had Biden been convicted of 34 felonies, you would have accepted it on its face and demanded he be punished to the full extent of the law. Why? Because you wave a red pom pom and he waves a blue one? Is it that far fetched to believe that Trump actually committed the crimes?
I actually believe that when Trump said he could shoot someone on Fifth Ave in NYC and never lose a vote, he was right.
You make it sound like the MAGA Trumpers are just knee jerk responding based purely upon personality and ideology. I submit that is totally in error..Aggie Dad Sip said:

That's precisely what this unethical ***** is doing. She has no legal authority to do it. That's what happened when political prisoners were jailed without bail for J6. But you know that.Aggie Dad Sip said:

You have to understand how courts actually work, you know this will not stand on the mertis right?Aggie Dad Sip said:
Y'all have got to ask yourself this question when trying to decide whether a court ruling is good or bad: "Would I agree with this if the Democrats were in control?"

Enough is known about the "34 convictions" to say that they are a miscarriage of justice, starting with a prosecutor that ran on an indict Trump for anything platform, a change in the statute of limitations made with one purpose, a judge with significant conflicts who made unprecedented rulings in favor of the prosecution, a hand shopped forum calculated to get the "convictions", Federal cooperation in furtherance of the president's not so subtle agenda, scheduling intended to conflict with the campaign with gag orders and orders to personally appear, etc., etc., etc.
This is not just from the Red team either- Turley and Dershowitz cannot be described as Republican or conservative, but do care about the rule of law.
I would say adherence to the rule of law is precisely why I am "cool with just ignoring" those 34 convictions.in court proceedings that banana republics would be ashamed to have occur in their justice system. Even though I am less than impressed with some of the judges on the SCOTUS, if a single one of the "convictions" survive through their review, I will be glad to revisit my opinion. Until then, yes I am cool with calling those proceedings what they were- a political farce.
I would ask them to present evidence of who did participate in Russiagate as a means to prove who didn't. Then cut them off at the knees if they lie about any of their key partners not being involved. Use their lying as a justification to deny the whole firm clearances. If they tell the truth about all of it, use it to discredit the firm due to their widespread involvement.Line Ate Member said:That would be awesome and exactly what Trump would do.PCC_80 said:
Maybe Perkins Coie can keep the firms clearance but that does not mean their employees can keep their clearances. This also does not mean that the P-C offices have to be approved to store classified data/info.
Pull those and lets see what happens next.
Step 1: allows the Law firm to have security.
Step 2: ask law firm to submit names for security approval with White House
Step 3: deny anyone with a two-hop to any who sniffed at the Jan 6, Russiagate, impeachment trial and any other bull**** charge they tried to nail Trump with.
I can't quote the posts that you didn't make when Biden did that...Aggie Dad Sip said:Ag with kids said:I remember you here complaining when Biden ignored judicial rulings...Aggie Dad Sip said:

For years covering both Jan 6 cases and the criminal indictments against President Trump, I pleaded for the impeachment of Beryl Howell.

She arguably is the most reckless, partisan, vindictive, and lawless judge on the federal bench.
