Eggs are such an easy thing for me to give up if the price gets too high.

Eggs are one of the few things I can have on a regular basis now.

I like a poached egg over sourdough toast

At one point in my life I was eating 13 eggs a day. Now I'm down to about 12-18 a week. Prices would have to be above a $1/egg to make me change my habits.

That, along with some berries, would be an ideal lunch.

I was getting them for free, lived alone, and I was saving up for a wedding. 6 hard boiled in the morning and 7 at night. Salad and apple for lunch. Banana and peanut butter for dessert at night. Weekends were spent away and eating whatever but for weekdays, I spent $15 a week on groceries.

It is limited until I get the transplants.
But I have lost significant weight and my kidney levels are functioning much better now. Just have to stick with lower fat, lower sodium foods and 2 liters max of liquids a day

Banana with pb and honey on half a flour tortilla is a very good snack. But I can't do potassium filled foods right now.

Smart. Don't go into debt for a wedding.

Eggs are a smart. Choice. Even with today's prices.

Quick, easy to digest, and filled with protein.
