It's not the conviction, it's the process of making him fight the trial etc. Retribution, not vengeance.

Just today we had Comey and Fauci's adviser (with other sealed indictiments) indicted (remember, the latter said he would leave if Trump was re-elected in 2024, a complete partisan hack once his mask was down), as well as raids on the Learing Center etc. in Minneapolis, and SPLC indictment(s) etc. Bondi's only been gone what, 3 weeks (and her pal Swalwell neutered for even less)?

Would I love to see Brennan and a larger conspiracy unsealed with indictments in Florida? Yes, but it is again complex criminal litigation to pursue those.

And I am sure plenty of leftist folks involved in the lawfare vs. DJT and his family are puckering. Lawfare vs. the leftists is absolutely righteously justified. Never forget they wanted to go after not just Trump's family, but also Flynn's son, etc, and have continued to wield their partisans in black robes to hamstring '47 despite the law, brazenly.

Hopefully oral arguments are streamed today so we can hear more of KBJ's inanity.

Can any legal eagles give a rundown today of the oral arguments? It is nuts to even argue that a temporary status granted by one president can't be undone by another president.

Does anyone believe that the border enforcement policies under President Trump that have resulted in a significant reduction of illegal crossings won't be undone by the next president on day one in office if it's a nutty democrat?

I am curious of the illogical arguments that would have to be made to make a temporary status de facto permanent.

Ok I hate Comey but that is just dumb. There are plenty of other reasons to go after him besides that.

Go after him for every single one of them. He thwarted the will of the people.

There is no misdeed so great as that.

Sounds like the judge ought to have her genitals mutilated. Maybe the rest of the Obama Biden judges would get the hint.

Oregon is actually the prime case study in this. They also just were compelled (not by administration but judicial watch suit) to remove 800K inactive voters.

This cannot be discussed/focused on enough.

RE: the hospital investigation being halted, note that it was actually a subpoena that was quashed by the Biden judge. Incredibly, the challenge was brought by a party (patients at the hospital) who were not even served by it. The real motivation of the partisan judge/attorneys is that it involves clearly off-label use of drugs (hormone replacement therapy) in child gender mutilation procedures at the childrens hospitals involved (for big profits).

This is pretty basic stuff and won't hold up, but the goal of the lawfare is obviously to delay in this case.

Biden "Judge" Anna Reyes now wants answers by 0730 this am about the critical plans/non-plans for a golf course in DC.

Naturally, Norm Eisen is involved.

A judicial legend of our time.

How much has Trump railed on this lately? Seems to me that if it was bothering Trump he would be pushing it.

Understanding he's got a couple irons in the fire currently, there are some areas he seems to be okay letting fester.

Not sure what the benefit is but in the 2.0 admin they seem to have a plan for everything and are usually a couple steps ahead of everyone else.

SCOTUS yesterday ruled LA should move forward with redistricting. Lone dissent by DEI was eviscerated in Alito-Thomas-Gorsuch concurrence.

I highly recommend reading it if entertained by such things. "It is the dissents rhetoric that lacks restraint." Also notes that 'this was conferenced over 7 months ago' all but confirming again the leftists tried to hold out to run out the clock.

Read it last night - a very fun and - for a Supreme Court Justice - very angry retort.

Alito bringing the heat:

Quote:

The dissent does not claim that it is now too late for the state legislature or the District Court to adopt a new map that complies with the Constitution. Nor does the dissent assert that it is not feasible for the elections to be held under such a map. Instead, the dissent offers two reasons for its proposed course of action. One is trivial at best, and the other is baseless and insulting.

Quote:

The dissent goes on to claim that our decision represents an unprincipled use of power. See post, at 4 ("And just like that, those principles give way to power"). That is a groundless and utterly irresponsible charge. What principle has the Court violated? The principle that Rule 45.3's 32-day default period should never be shortened even when there is good reason to do so? The principle that we should never take any action that might unjustifiably be criticized as partisan?

The dissent accuses the Court of "unshackl[ing]" itself from "constraints." Post, at 4. It is the dissent's rhetoric that lacks restraint.

TL,DR:

Grow up, you immature idiot. This looks like Alito scolding a 3 year old for finger painting with her own feces.

Another great point by Christian.

Quote:

It is even more curious that Democrats represent every single majority-minority district where black voters constitute the majority. Stranger still is the voting pattern of districts dominated by Asians. Is it plausible that not one Republican represents a majority-minority district in which Asians make up the majority? In districts where Hispanics and Latinos make up the majority of voters, there are a few GOP representatives, but most of these districts are represented by Democrats. And then there are the districts in which "coalitions" of Black, Latino, and Asian voters are dumped into single legally protected majorities. If the Democrats are reduced to this kind of skulduggery they're done. Can you hear the fear from the ACLU?
Quote:

This decision is a profound betrayal of the legacy of the civil rights movement. By gutting Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, the Court has weakened the primary legal tool that voters of color rely on to challenge discriminatory maps and election systems. In practical terms, this means that even where racial discrimination in voting is clear and ongoing, communities will be left without the most significant weapon they have to stop states from drawing districts that dilute their political power. Representation for Black, Latino, Native, and other voters of color will increasingly depend on the goodwill of legislatures rather than enforceable law.

This was the response to the Callais ruling from Sophia Lin Lakin, director of the ACLU's Voting Rights Project. Conspicuously absent from this Orwellian nonsense is any reference to the constitutional reasoning that led to the Supreme Court's ruling. The ACLU, like the Southern Poverty Law Center, has long since abandoned its original mission. Nonetheless, they still command enormous resources, and this is what Harmeet Dhillon and the Civil Rights division of the Justice Department will be up against when they begin enforcing the Court's ruling in Callais. Dhillon will be dealing with desperate people who know that a few more rulings like this … amount to a real threat to the Democrats and their laundered taxpayer money.

Chief Justice John Roberts has many faults, but he is the author of what may be the best answer to the kind of "thinking" that informs the Left's viewpoint on Callais: "The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race." But the Democrats and their army of power hungry accomplices know that accepting such straightforward reasoning means they will join the Whigs in political oblivion.

Whatever happened to the End Zone/helmet 'end racism' line? Ms. Dhillon needs to file a lawsuit this am in Georgia to eliminate their racist districts this cycle.

The rest of above X post:
Quote:

"Ballotpedia, using data from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2024 American Community Survey, estimates that these racially gerrymandered districts account for 148 seats in the House of Representatives. This is about one third of the House's 435 districts and 122 of them are held by Democrats more than half of their 212 seats."

I do think predicting the demise of the Democrat Party is wishful thinking. But the only way I see this redistricting battle over majority-minority districts ends is tossing results from an election from such districts.

Before Callais, I believed a federal court would never actually do that. Just negate the entire vote but now?

A losing candidate from such an illegally drawn district has built in standing to challenge. Those districts are test cases waiting to happen.

Let's hope the states refusing to budge on redistricting (Georgia, for instance) think about this and act now rather than later.
