Good Trump. It is first and foremost a strategic pipeline. Now get us more modern refineries somehow.

Is this thing government subsidized? If not, and I can't complete it by the next presidential election, I'm not risking it. The Mental Illness Party will shut it down again.

They've sold off at least some material from the project. Not sure how much. My company bought some motors at a huge discount from their surplus dealer.

Might have to incentivize it, and that's OK.
Trump will fix it.

At one point I had heard that the oil is now travelling on Warren Buffett's railroads, and its the equivalent of a half million cars emissions to move it that way vs pipeline.

TCE has been very public that even if DJT allowed permits to build, they have no intention to try because his term is too short to risk the left cancelling when he is out of office.

That's where the incentivation will have to come in.
Trump will fix it.

To complete this project would Trump need to get the pipeline under federal control and do something legally to protect the project and ongoing usage of it?

If that oil is still getting to market by other methods, what's the benefit other than for the owners of the pipeline? Would more oil be able to be moved to refineries?

More oil, safer, cheaper, and all the transport costs don't go to Warren Buffett.

It was and is.

Environmental and Tribal Land reasons were just a cover. The real, behind the scenes reason was to keep the money train flowing for Buffet.

Most, if not all, of the pipe has either already been sold for other projects or has been scrapped by now.

The pipe was prepped and ready for install when the project was unilaterally stopped. Incredible amount of waste that resulted in significant loss for investors over a bunch of bull**** politics.

Map of the current crude oil pipelines in the U.S.

Seems unreasonable to assume one more would impact the environment any more that all of these current pipelines.

I believe the Canadian's (Canadian government took the project over) recently completed the TransMountain pipeline expansion that increased export capacity of crude from Alberta to a pacific oil port from 300 to 900k bpd to get crude to the Pacific market. I am thinking opening up markets for Albertan crude was a primary driver for Keystone. If that's all true is Keystone still a viable project? Maybe some downsized version and picking up Bakken crude still makes sense, I dunno?
